I don’t write reviews often, but this place and this town truly deserve one. We stayed here as a one night stopover and it ended up being the perfect choice. The hotel is unique, clean, and very accommodating — you can tell there’s real care put into the space. Casey itself is such a pleasant surprise. The “Big Things” attractions make for a fun walk around town after 10 hours of driving, and everything is spotless and welcoming. There were plenty of food options for the evening, and the whole area has a charming, small‑town feel that’s actually impressive. If you’re passing through or looking for a simple weekend day‑trip destination, Casey and Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover make a great pair. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very clean and quaint. No issues there. The only issue was the noise! Clearly it's an old building, so not much if any soundproofing. The first night we had a family of 4 next to us. Kids did what kids do, it was like they were in our room. Second night we had a couple below our room, we could hear every word of their conversations, and their TV. So, it's a cute place, cute town, just don't go expecting peace and quiet, unless you don't have neighbors.

If you're looking to stay somewhere historical in a small town that has plenty to see, this is the place. Very clean, very nice room amenities, codes to get in the building and in to your room.

The first room we checked into on the third floor did not have air conditioning and it was hot. We were given a choice of two other rooms on the second floor. One of them had a tv that didn’t work. (I’m sure it was the batteries in the remote). The room we settled in was nice. The whole place has a cool vibe with brick walls and wooden floors. It has lots of character. The flight(s) up and down are very steep Since there is no elevator, there is no choice. Oh, and the freight train track is mere yards away from 1890 Sleepover! I happen to like trains, but it did get very loud!

Responsive and helpful staff! We had a smooth check-in and fresh, clean stay. The only thing we felt inconvenienced by was how much sound traveled across the floor and between rooms there's a large gap under the door between rooms where we stayed).

This was a Wonderful stay for a one night getaway. Staff and Virtual check-in was so helpful. Parking was easy and close to the building. Short walking distance from all the attractions. Rooms were very clean with personal amenities to make you feel at home. Access codes to your room and to the Exterior entrance to make it convenient. A quick text to the number provided to let the know them you are checking out. Would definitely stay again.

The room was wonderful and clean. The property was walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The check-in process was simple. Our only complaint is that it is located right next to train tracks, which woke us up twice in the night. Even knowing that, I would probably stay again.

Had a wonderful stay. Hotel management texted the day of check in with entry codes and also to let us know the elevator wasn’t working. The stairs were a little steep, but not a big deal. We visited Casey, IL for the many large things. This hotel and its character definitely added to our experience. The were notes left in the brick wall from previous travelers and I added my own. If we ever get the chance to visit the area again, we will definitely stay at Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover. Highly recommend!

Aesthetically pleasing loft style rooms that are spacious and well kept. Great location in the heart of downtown with easy access to all shops. Everything is code operated which was a breeze. Elevators were down but that was not a deal breaker for me. Staff were helpful and responsive to my needs. I will definitely stay again!

We were a little disappointed this trip, having stayed several times before. Room supplies toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, sugar for coffee was non existent. The kitchenette had no soap ,utensils or anything that used to be provided. The door is hard to use and needs replaced. Currently a great location with easy parking

The building was old, because it was once a department store turned into a building but it was nice. There were a lot of stairs though, and the handrail was iffy. The room was very nice and had a bunch of streaming services on. All of the amenities are outside the room. And the beds were beautiful, but the lock was very iffy and you have to make sure that it locks.
