"The hotel and the location are amazing, walking distance to everything. Great views of the mountains and the whole town. Only problem we had was getting a place to have breakfast, the hotel recommends Hotel Aldan but we showed up at 8 in the morning and they did not have breakfast available (there was a group that was having breakfast) but they told us that they didn't have for the 2 of us. Only coffee was available?! Other than that a great stay, but be aware of maybe packing your own food in...

Terrific location, interesting town, amazing hiking all around, and the room was great. The full facility, including a terrific community kitchen were modern and meticulously maintained. All cooking equipment and dining utensils are there. We should have groceried up and spent 2-3 days launching from there "

"One of the best places we stayed at during our two weeks in Iceland. A true oasis away from the hustle and bustle of life. The private cabin we stayed in was huge with outdoor seating, a porch, an outdoor grill, and beautiful views of the country side. The family that runs the property also owns the farm the property is on and the on-site restaurant. All the ingredients are local (if not grown on their own farm) and the food was delicious with large portions. We wish we could have stayed longer...
