"Lack of empathy. After being stuck in 2 blizzard storms with weather warning alerts and road closures on 2 days, there was no way to reach the hotel on check-in date. Other hotels and Airbnb graciously agreed to cancel our booking due to the extenuating weather related circumstances. But this property has no empathy for customers and refuses even a partial refund and blame it on customer for not wanting to make the long drive even if it is not safe for customer to do so. inflexible policies on the part of certain business establishments such leaves a bad impression"

"Jacuzzi, Northern Lights Wakeup Call, For some reason had to pay additional fees like a lodging fee? even after paying for the room on Expedia. Cool common room, really nice front staff guy that showed us the solar activity for the northern lights."

"The breakfast here was excellent. Our shower was not pitched correctly and the water ran all over half of the bathroom floor, which was annoying. We ended up having to use extra towels to contain the water. The gift shop across the street said it was open until 5 PM, but we tried to walk in at 4:30 PM and they said they were closed. The room layout was a bit strange and the TV was in a very weird spot, where nobody could watch it as we tried to sleep. Overall, the hotel was very nice though. Just a couple of strange circumstances led to it getting a four out of five, rather than a five out of five."

"Beautiful hotel, great location. Need more amenities such as shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo and body soap combined and thats all they had in the shower. Otherwise everything was amazing."

"We had a wonderful stay in this villa and would highly recommend to future visitors. It is very close to local amenities and the airport.We had a few minor issues with the heating and electricity however these were swiftly addressed.The bedrooms and bathrooms were more than adequate as were the kitchen facilities. Would 100% return again if visiting Akureyri "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Great views of Akureyri and the northern lights. The room was spotless. Staff were very helpful - we asked about wine and beer as the bar wasnt open in winter. They got us a bottle of wine and some beers which was great as it was my partners birthday. "
