"We had a great stay at Hotel Resort Mahahual! The location was perfect for us—very close to Majahual Beach, making it easy to enjoy the beach and then come back to relax by the hotel’s nice pool.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We especially appreciated that the cleaning staff always gave us a heads-up and asked if we wanted the room cleaned before entering. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including AC, a TV with Netflix and YouTube, and a functional bathroom with a shower and flushable toilet. The rooms and bathrooms aren’t the most modern or luxurious, but they were comfortable and had all the basics we needed.
Breakfast was included every day, which was a huge plus! My kids absolutely loved the pancakes. We also enjoyed the drinks—especially the margaritas and beers—and had lunch and dinner at the hotel. The pasta was delicious!
Overall, we definitely recommend this hotel. Just don’t book it expecting a fancy luxury resort. It’s a comfortable, clean, friendly place that was perfect for our family: a place to sleep, enjoy breakfast, relax by the pool, and then head out to explore beautiful El Salvador. For what we needed, it was great!"
