“While visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving, we were looking for something different than a hotel stay. We found it on Fish Lake! The property was perfectly located for us and on a beautiful lake setting. We were able to enjoy the bonfire, the rowboat for a chilly fishing attempt and swan migration viewing. The house was set up nicely for our family of four, but could easily fit more. My young boys enjoyed staying upstairs by themselves in beds of their own, while my husband and I……

“Charming Amish home. It was unclear at booking if the bedrooms had queen or double beds, but they were double so it was extremely tight for a couple. The single bathroom was very tiny and there was zero counter space in the bathroom. There is no hair soap or hair dryer included which is fine if you know ahead of time and can bring your own. You are staying at a propery which has the owners living in the home that is adjacent so they monitor the home very closely. We got a note on the door……

“The cottage is charmingly vintage but still quite comfortable. The hosts include thoughtful touches like spices, toiletries, fishing rods, laundry soap, etc., that aren't necessary certainly but that make for a welcoming stay. Donnell Lake is a quite busy little lake and wasn't our favorite for our quiet little paddleboards and sailboat, but we were also there over Labor Day, so it's probably not always quiet so busy. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at the cottage, though. The……

“My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this historical cabin. It was perfect for what we needed and we slept really good. There was an issue with the shower head and when letting them know, they were right on it and the issue was resolved. We will come back the next time we visit family. I would highly recommend this place to stay.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. We used the cottage as a home base while sightseeing and visiting family in the area. The kitchen is pretty small. It would be tough to cook for more than a few people here as counter space is very limited and there is no place, other than the fridge, to store any food. It wasn’t an issue for us as we dined out for all our meals. My husband had difficulty getting in and out of the front door as it is a rather large step. We had no problem at all parking……
