"This is my second time at The American. I like to stay there. It is a great location for just about any event in downtown. Walking distance to everything. It's always clean. The staff are always very kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and huge. The only two negatives are that the corridors and lobby were hot. Not sure if the A/C was out during my stay or if there is no A/C in those areas. The room was very nice and cool, though. The breakfast area was comfortable as well. The second issue was the shower. The shower head couldn't be adjusted in any direction that wasn't spraying the back wall, thus streaming into the floor of the bathroom. But, those two things were fairly minor, for me. I would stay here again and again. 17 min walk to Mercedes Benz Stadium. 4-5 min walk to the Marriott Marquee and all of the Dragon Con hotels."
