Perfect Valentine Getaway for Couples

We enjoyed everything about our stay. It was a great last minute getaway and the cabin was exceptional. The extra attention to details in every space made the stay even better. The cabin has so many cozy spaces. We especially loved the decor, the cozy blankets, fireplace, Bluetooth speakers, kitchen and chairs overlooking the river below, the bedroom space, the extra doggie treats and bed, and even the emerald green cabinet pulls. We especially enjoyed the covered bridge being lit up on our way in and out each day too. A very quiet place to retreat and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Our dogs were safe and secure inside the fencing around the cabin. We enjoyed the sounds of the river and seeing all the wildlife around the woods. Managers were attentive and kept us well informed. Would definitely recommend.

The addiotnal master BR does not have an AC vent so you may have to freeze out teh living areas to sleep well at night bit it is doable.

It’s private, quiet and a great place to retreat. The drive is fine up to the entrance of the property about .5 miles you’ll need a 4x4 and be experienced driver. We had a truck 4x2 which the wheels spun a few times. Aside from the ingress & egress it was pleasant.

We spent our evenings on the back porch taking in the beautiful view/sounds over the water, enjoying the fire pit, and watching the many birds in the trees surrounding the cabin. Highly recommend! The only note I’d make to future renters traveling with dogs is that the “fenced yard” is a gravel path around the back of the house. There is no fenced grass and no enclosed space for medium/large pups to run/play off leash. We totally appreciated their very welcoming dog policy and extra special touches (treats, waste bags, bowls, bed, etc) - just elaborating on the fenced yard mentioned in the listing so that others traveling with dogs can prepare accordingly. Our dogs did enjoy taking a leashed walk down the stairs to the water! Thanks for a great stay!

We felt very comfortable! We enjoyed hearing the Ellijay River and seeing the wildlife! We saw deer daily. We did the 101 stair challenge! We loved the location. The owners have decorated the cabin so beautifully and whimsically! The bed was very comfortable! The linens, towels & robes were all very soft and generous ! The cabin was just the right size! We enjoyed fresh ground coffee every morning and Lu-Lu loved her treats that were there just for her! I enjoyed the coloring book & pencils! We sat out by the fire nightly with the lights. It felt like we were in a tree house! We had an amazing time and look forward to next year! Thanks for having us!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the moment we saw the cabin tucked high in the mountains with a view to die for,I knew we were staying at the right place. The cabin was immaculate with everything we needed to enjoy our stay with our two fur babies! I got to relax to a beautiful thunderstorm with the lightning coming through the sky lights. The hot tub was another bonus because I had a failed back surgery and it made the pain bearable,the comfortable robes after enjoying the hot tub were the icing on the cake!. We used the walking sticks to hike each day,thank you for that. We enjoyed evenings sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine. Saw deer everyday we were there!! I did make it down to the creek,walking slowly and enjoying all the nature around me. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful cabin with us. Beautiful cabin, very dangerous roads, not a great yard for dogs

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin itself is beautiful, well-furnished, lots of little details thought out like games, movies,and books. The amenities are nice and the kitchen is well-stocked. I wish we had been warned in advance just how dangerously steep and narrow the mountain road to the cabin is as we would have driven a different vehicle. We are coming from Florida and not used to these roads, and there was a very steep drop-off. The cabin is basically built into the side of a mountain. The stairs to the riverfront are also terrifying. We didn't feel comfortable leaving the cabin to go do anything once we got there and risk damage to our small SUV. It is a very picturesque and beautiful area and I love the picture windows and the gas fireplace. Our dogs enjoyed exploring the area but the fenced in yard is not really great. The fence posts are too wide in some areas so we couldn't even safely let them off leash without risking them running off and falling into a ravine. I also did not like being asked to do so many housekeeping items (stripping the bed, washing and putting away all the dishes, starting the laundry, etc.) when I am paying over $200 a night to stay somewhere. The checkout instructions really added to the stress of us packing and leaving. It is a beautiful area and a beautiful cabin. We should have chosen one with a better yard for letting our three dogs out off leash, but I don't think we will be going back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was as-described... no disappointments. Weather could've been more cooperative, but a very nice getaway nonetheless. Access to the cabin could be a challenge if not driving an SUV or truck, but would still recommend this cabin. The only thing I could see lacking is a microwave oven, which would have been nice for re-heating leftovers. A small quibble, but something to note when grocery shopping.

Reviewer Comments: This cabin is beautiful - we loved all the windows and skylights, the stylish yet comfortable furniture (including the bed), and favorite for all of us was the outdoor fencing that allowed our dog to be off leash around the cabin. We really enjoyed the time on the porch with the lovely gazebo / fire pit. It was a little more difficult to reach in terms of the last roads which were narrow, winding and rock/dirt, but very private. We didn’t get in the river, but took the steps down to it, and enjoyed the sound of the water from the cabin our entire stay. Appreciated TV with access to streaming services for movies. Kitchen adequately stocked that we made all meals except one in the cabin. The microwave is hidden in a bookshelf! It was dirty (maybe housekeeping didn’t realize it’s location) but that was the only negative of our three night rental. We would definitely return to this cabin in the future.

I loved everything about it, especially the sky lights over the comfy bed so you can look up at trees and stars as you fall asleep. Everything was super-clean. The only downside is the narrow, steep road up there - I would strongly advise not arriving after dark like we did! The stairs down to the river are steep as well but doable and good exercise. Dog bed, blankets, dishes, treats were provided for our dog. And the whole property is fenced as well. Our Australian shepherd is terminally ill and this may have been his last trip, so we needed the weekend to be extra-special and it was. Really hope to return to this place!
