Great stay

This property is nothing short of amazing. Its proximity to the flowing river and relaxing amenities cannot be beat. We loved staying here and loved the area, specially seeing all the deer just wandering about. Highly recommend.

First time to Elijay

Our family has always been a beach family for vacations. We tried out Elijay for the first time this year. The cabin is beautiful and steps away from the river. The owner has put a lot of effort into ensuring guests have a great time while staying at their cabin. I have had multiple friends ask me for the property information just from seeing photographs I posted on social media of our vacation. Very peaceful location. We can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful Location

We had a great stay. The home was clean. Sound of the creek was perfect. The other homes on the creek path are not visible so you felt like it was your own little slice. Would recommend this home for your Ellijay vacation.

Incredible mountain cabin

awesome get away

The home was very warm and inviting. She had lots of things for my grandchildren to enjoy. The best feature was the beautiful river and being so close to it! As chill of a cabin as you could desire.

Beautiful Cabin

This cabin and location was absolutely amazing. It was very clean and comfortable. The river and campfire area was the best part. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. It had so many games. We will definitely love to come back.

Perfect location!!

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe at the beauty of this cabin and the surroundings. We had an easy check in process and the cabin had everything we needed. Our favorite night at the property was when we built a fire and dined by the water. I can't say enough about how wonderful this property is. We hope to be back next year!

Relaxing!

We enjoyed our days there. Wonderful memories were made with family. We fished, relaxed by the stream and just chilled out during our stay. I would recommend this cabin. Just be prepared for the gravel roads near the end of your destination. It was still worth it! :)

Weekend away

Great property. Close to wineries, shopping and restaurants once you get out of the resort. Roads are a bit bumpy at times. Host was very responsive to questions and gave great directions.

Serene sounds of the river are spectacular.

Had an excellent time staying at this property. The serene sounds of the river are abundant. The home is well appointed and in a great location away from noisy roads. The deer are everywhere within the resort property which add an additional layer to the peaceful setting. The property owner is very responsive. I will certainly rent from her again when I return to Ellijay.

Great Mountain Vacation

We enjoyed our house for the week. It was hard to find at first, but once we figured out to get to and from the house it was fine. We enjoyed the river and amenities of the resort. Our children loved fishing, swimming, and tubing in the river next to the house. It was beautiful and the owner was super helpful when we needed anything. We would love to rent from one of her properties again.

Such a beautiful mountain cabin

The cabin was wonderful! Fully stocked with a ll the necessary amenities. My kids loved playing by the river and swinging on the hammocks. There were tons of board games and DVD's provided. The private balcony off the master bedroom was so cozy. We will definitely be back!

Perfection

This cabin was absolutely wonderful! The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the host was incredibly responsive and well-organized. One of the best features was the direct access to the water—it was such a treat! The cabin was fully stocked with plenty of amenities and games to keep everyone entertained. To make our stay even more special, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and stockings hanging by the fireplace—it truly felt magical. Highly recommend this cabin, 10/10!

Wonderful getaway!

We had a relaxing and fantastic time! The host was wonderful to respond when we did need her, and it was clear she was committed to make our vacation as perfect as possible. The location to the water for tubing/swimming was great and exactly what I wanted when I pictured our family time. For the reviews that mentioned concern with the roads, I will agree that I also was concerned. For the most part we took our Jeep or Highlander when we went out, but our daughter was able to get her Prius in/out with no issue. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Nice secluded getaway

I was impressed at how clean and nicely decorated the cabin is. The view and water access are amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities for preparing your own meals, which we found helpful as the trip to town was a good 15 minutes away. The only negative feedback I have is that when in the downstairs bedrooms, you can hear too well any little noise or walking in the upstairs area, we used a sound machine which was helpful.

Overall, we had a good stay. I think the basement area should of been advertised, but the biggest disappoint was the unknown of the path of travel once the paved drive ended. This should be made known in the listing. Cleanliness was great.

Family vacation

Great spot for a wide range of ages. Beds were extremely comfortable and the river not too strong for people to manuver. Do not try to get there however without a relatively powerful vehicle. We had a terrible and scary time getting up some hills. Also the bottom floor is not available without extra cost. Our contact with VRBO person was always timely and helpful.

Perfect Family Getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could stay longer! The home was clean and perfectly organized. They even had dress up clothes and toys for kids. The home was cozy and the river side fire pit and hammocks provided the perfect hangout. Our only concern was navigating the steep gravel hills and driveway in our minivan. But we made it! The homeowner was very helpful with directions. Use Waze or Google Maps NOT Apple Maps directions and utilize vehicles with 4-wheel drive if possible. When initially locating the property - look for sign that says Cabin Fever and try to arrive during daylight hours. Again, totally worth the trip! We can’t wait to book again! Fantastic Find!

Great family getaway

We brought our family of eight up to Ellijah to spend Father’s Day weekend celebrating my husband and son. It was a perfect weekend. The cabin is gorgeous and having the river in our backyard was so convenient. Our 6 and 10-year-old grandchildren loved wading in the water, fishing and learning how to skip rocks. They each caught two baby trout, which made the whole trip worthwhile. We enjoyed the campfire in the evenings making s’mores, and even though it was very warm, there was always a breeze off the water and luckily no mosquitoes. The cabin itself was well stocked and clean with plenty of room for eight of us. I will say the ride to the cabin down the mountain side was a little scary but not scary enough that we won’t be back next year. Betsey was a joy to work with and called and made sure we had everything we needed. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Perfectly Wonderful!!!

We haven’t been back to Ellijay in 2 years after our family sold the vacation house on Eagle Mountain. When I found Betsey’s house 2 houses down we knew it was exactly where we wanted to be! The house was wonderfully stocked with all the essentials and our trips to Ingles supermarket are always highlights to our trip! We marked off new places from our bucket list and enjoyed repeat visits to downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We loved taking the train from Blue Ridge to McCaysville GA and Copperhill TN. We walked many miles along the river looking at the changes made in the last 2 years and visiting with some of the year round residents we have met in the past. The weather was gorgeous and I even spent an afternoon floating in my tube! Betsey was a wonderful host and we cannot wait to go back next year!! 5 stars!!!

Amazing Location

This property is beautiful! Google maps took us close enough to get to the property. The roads in the resort property are narrow and winding with steep portions. We had no issues getting to the cabin, even pulling a loaded trailer. If you have experience driving on gravel, country roads, it's an easy drive. The host is amazing and promptly communicates. She went the extra mile for our accommodations, due to having severe, chemical allergies. The cabin is clean and well kept. It's a cabin in the woods, so sometimes you have bugs sneak in. We have a lot of deer in Indiana, but this place is packed with them and wild turkeys. We loved our stay and appreciate Betsey's willingness to help with our allergy needs. This is the perfect cabin in the woods.

Booked for trout but no fish :(

Overall a beautiful property! I just specifically booked for fishing and there were none. Hubby caught 2 little "creek chubs". No trout even seen. Maybe just went at the wrong time. Check the stocking schedules. Kids loved the hot tub and splashing in the creek. Wish we would have known the washing machine was broken before bc i packed everyone less bc we had one. The hosts are great though. Very responsive and apologetic for the washing machine. Water pressure downstairs is not great. Recommend bringing firewood. Its like $8 a small bundle at gas stations and walmart. Man, i didnt want to leave the tranquility of this place!!!

We truly enjoyed staying here for two nights. We wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful house, comfortable place to stay, great place for the kids, and nice for a family getaway! Loved the fire pit by the water. My granddaughter (5) loves the dress up clothes and accessories. The host was very kind and informative. Directions for our stay were clear.

Excellent cabin at Ellijay. Cabin was clean, and comfortable with a great location, just relax and enjoy the sound of nature. We only went out once to get charcoal for the barbecue.
