Here is your home away from home as you venture out to explore the Downeast of Maine and Acadia National Park!

This listing is for Apartment #6 1BR Efficiency at Twin Hills Cottages of Acadia a 5 acre property just a few miles from downtown Ellsworth. Located on Rt 1 Acadia National Highway, 30 minutes to Bangor and Bar Harbor. A great destination for your next trip.

Escape to Maine in this Cozy 1 Bedroom apartment with private bathroom and kitchenette.
There is a Queen bed in the bedroom and a "click clack" (futon style) sofa in the eat in kitchen.

*Please note the sofa is a folding sofa not a pull out and is very firm.

This is space is recommended for 2 adults and 2 kids can accommodate 4 adults as a budget friendly options.

Full access to the apartment with a private area on a covered porch shared between 3 units.

Our stay was very nice. It was very close to the National Park and to Bar Harbor where we spent a couple of days. I definitely would look into using it again if we come this way.

Great stay for Acadia

Great little cottage for our two nights in Bar Harbor area. Convenient to Ellsworth which was just the right size for supplies and dining. Owner was super responsive and helpful.

Small apartment

Bed was not great but overall this was a very economical, quiet, and safe location that is in somewhat close proximity to Acadia. Comforter and sheets had bad odor but extra comforter was decent. Great plus having kitchen and small living area. Stayed at a few economical hotels but this was the best of the others.

Great central location for exploring the coastline of Maine and Arcadia National Park.

This was a nice place. Small but perfect for just two of us. Away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to drive to Acadia & Bar Harbor. The cottage stayed a comfortable temperature. My only complaint was the bed. It was really uncomfortable…everyone is different in what they like, but this mattress was very hard and springy for me. I would suggest a mattress topper. We really enjoyed having a fire in the evening. So peaceful. Thank you for an enjoyable trip!

Staying outside Acadia

A clean cabin, great bed, could cook our own breakfast, not too far from grocery store, Acadia, Down East Lobster, watch old movies and Doc Martin. We got to relax after our hikes at Acadia. Four stars.

Accurate description in listing

The apartment was just as described, very clean, and had a well appointed kitchen area for the size of the apartment. My husband and I would stay here again if traveling just as a couple. The description accurately states that the apartment will accommodate 4 people as a futon in the sitting area makes into a bed. However, the futon bed is only comfortable for one person (or maybe 2 small children). Indeed, I fell off the bed - twice! As seasoned travelers, my husband and I found the humor in it! The location was safe and easy to get to. While we read and were prepared that the apt was 20 miles from Bar Harbor, we were surprised that the ride in took 40-45 minutes - not a problem at all for us, but good info to know, depending on your travel purposes. Overall, we were pleased to find the accommodations as described.

Affordable lodging 1 hour from Acadia

We needed lodging with separate spaces and a kitchen. This property met those needs. Jonathan was wonderful at meeting a couple special requests. Table and chairs on porch was nice.
