Ideal location for trip to the BWCA. Ely is just a 5 minute drive away so all the conveniences of a town and SRL has everything you need and all the peace and quiet you can handle

The room was clean, if quite dimly lit. The staff were very helpful and the homemade pizza in the bar/restaurant was quite good. The room had a balcony overlooking the lake which was lovely. It's clearly an older lodge, but for the price it was a value and a pleasant stay. If I were going back to Ely, I would stay at Silver Rapids again. I heard that it had been purchased for renovation, so it may become more expensive.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Silver Rapids Lodge! It was conveniently located to the Superior Forest and the view was phenomenal. Stars were a light show! We weren't informed the restaurant was non existent as was the kitchenette. It was only a small hiccup. We had a toaster and microwave and fridge so could do a continental breakfast and pack lunch.The bar was open and we could get pizza there. The Bartender was very friendly and a one man show. Ely was very close by and lots of good food there. The people are all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience at Silver Rapids Lodge. The place is a gem, very clean, friendly, rustic, and for the right price. The cabin had all we needed to make our trip comfortable.

This is a classic, old north-woods resort. The room was very clean, well equipped with new appliances, furniture, paint and flooring. The scenery is gorgeous and lots of places to hike. There are lots of families with dogs, good parking and Ely has fun things to do. Loved it!

Fun place on a nice lake

The place was nice. Easy check in. We stayed in the motel part. Room was nice and the deck overlooking the lake was very good. Way went down to the bar and had diner and listened to the live music. It was a quick stay but we may be back with the kids.

I stayed in a motel room overlooking the lake prior to a trip into the Boundary Waters. A little nervous at the plain and aging exterior, I was pleasantly surprised with the renovated and very comfortable room. This property has a friendly, traditional resort vibe, with cabins, camper parking and the motel. The bar was still open on a rainy evening and they served my favorite Castle Danger on tap. I would love to visit this resort again!
