Perfect for family
The property owners were proactive in communicating with me about our stay. The property was easily located and provided plenty of parking for our family (5 vehicles). You can see the ocean from the living room, dining room and kitchen; as well as two bedrooms and the great big room that has five beds. Overall, we loved it!

Cozy and Peaceful
Seaside Sanctuary was just that . . . a cozy, peaceful sanctuary I returned to at the end of very busy, business filled days in Morehead City. It was a delight to stay in this lovely home with the ocean as my backyard. The home was clean, organized, and equipped with everything you need for a great time at the beach! You can tell the hosts love their home. Chris was very kind and responsive. Stay at Seaside Sanctuary - you will love it!

Fantastic sanctuary on an idyllic beach
The property was perfect and spacious. Everything was in great condition and Chris was an excellent host. The beach was almost exclusive because of the proximity of the houses. I would definitely go again.

First Family Vacation 2023
We all were very impressed with everything from cleanliness to views, how conveniently close to entertainment as well as to all the toys for our grandchildren to enjoy. And have to say when one of my grandkids evidently put one of there remotes in the bag mom mistakenly took it home the owner was very understanding to this. Fantastic! Enough room for our group of 10 to have space. The Beach toys, chairs and boogie boards were a welcome bonus. Views were incredible. Great location for doing activites up and down the coast. Our trip was just magic!!!!

Vacation Getaway with a Family Wedding
Mother Nature had other plans for us... we had rain 3 of the four days. However, it wasn’t bad. Right next to the beach, it allowed us to enjoy the beach between raindrops. The house looked great and really fit our needs. On our last full day, Mother Nature blessed us with a beautiful day and we enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to Chris and Karen........ A Vibe!
I don’t have anything bad to say at all! Renting this property was an amazing experience. Checking in was very simple and quick. The entire house was super clean and smelled fresh/new. Kitchen was amazing, up to date appliances and fully stocked! It was super easy to reach the host and they were super quick with responding! Super friendly family and customer service was a 10/10! I love how the house was stocked with board games! My family and I enjoyed this property and we have discussed renting again VERY SOON! From check in to check out, it was an amazing vibe!

Great decision
We were in NC for a family wedding. I wasn’t sure whether to get cheaper lodging and spend money exploring or stay on the beach at a higher cost. My adult children thought they would want to explore but once we got to the beach house, they didn’t want to leave. The hosts were easy to work with and had all the beach stuff we needed. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a honey of a rental. Family friendly community, amazing beach access and views, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, clean and organized. You will love this house. Emerald Isle is also a great area to fish. Chris and Karen are the perfect hosts.

Awesome ocean views and an amazing beach in Emerald Isle. Post-hurricane weather was wonderful and the house has tons of amenities including plenty of beach chairs (much appreciated); lots of towels, comfy living space, and spectacular sunsests.

Beautiful beach!
Spent a week for a family reunion. The house was exceptional. Beach was beautiful. We appreciated all of the beach equipment being available. House was very clean and well equipped. If I only had one negative it would just be the kitchen was small for large meals (we had 9 people), and there were no empty cupboards to store the groceries we brought. We worked around that. Had a great experience and would certainly return in another vacation.

A great house in a beautiful setting
A well furnished beach house in and excellent uncrowded location on Emerald Isle. A most pleasant host who was readily available to answer any questions upon check-in or during our stay.. We have been coming to E.I. for approx 50 yrs and have seen it grow + & -..As always enjoyed our trips to the Bogue Inlet pier to watch the real fisherman.. Also found the BEST shrimp burger EVER in a free standing food truck about 1 mi before before the old landmark Big Oak Drive in on Salter Path Rd ..

The property was perfect for our family. My kids LOVED the third floor with multiple beds. The property was very clean. The check in and check out was easy. We just clicked on, dropped our stuff, and went directly down the private deck to the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Home away from home

Seriously, a fantastic oceanfront getaway!
Chris was fantastic. His amount and readiness of communication was exactly what I'd be looking for in any vacation home owner. The property was not only clean but inviting -- there was a welcome basket and card, and there was honestly a TON of towels, small toiletries, start items, etc. We were surprised and thrilled by this. We cooked our meals and noticed that the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, and plenty of spices. I am just so glad we chose to come here and we want to bring our group of 6-8 adults again next year. Thank you!

Wonderful long weekend!
Our entire family had a great time at Seaside Sanctuary. There for a long weekend with our kids (22, 19, 14), we all loved the home itself, its comfort, and of course the wonderful, direct access to a beautiful beach. We were there to relax, spend time together, and enjoy the surroundings, and the Murphy's home allowed for all of that. Their home is comfortable, warm and inviting, and for us was a great place to get away. All the kids asked when we could come back! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home; we'll certainly be back as soon as our schedule allows.

Chris was accessible whenever we called. Great home and everything works. Well stocked kitchen and toiletries. Beautiful wide beach with natural sand and good fall surf fishing. You will absolutely love this well maintained home.

Beautiful ocean front home!
This was our first experience staying in Emerald Isle. It was absolutely beautiful!! The house was very clean and it was nice not to have to pack sheets/towels. The listing was exactly as advertised. I was a little nervous we would hear our neighbors due to being a Duplex but that was not an issue at all!! The outdoor shower was an amazing amenity for our kids to shower off before afternoon naps There was a minor issue with the dishwasher during our stay but Chris did as much as he could to correct the issue. The only other minor note would be that there was only 1 working beach chair. We only brought chairs for the grandparents because we were expecting to have more available but we were running after the kids most of the time so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Overall wonderful experience!!

All-around excellence: house, beach, beautiful island environment
Comfortable and welcoming beach home, well-equipped. Beautiful ocean and a gorgeous, wide beach. Marsh/waterway behind Emerald Isle is also beautiful. Island is developed with spacious, attractive, upper-end duplexes, wide roads and well-regulated traffic. Shopping centers are well-placed and tastefully understated. N.C. Aquarium is only 10 miles away.

The best vacation spot!
We stayed here for a friends and family vacation and had an amazing time!! We rent a lot of properties and this is top of my list. The ocean front beach house was the perfect setting and had the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets to enjoy from the porch. The house was clean and had everything we needed! It even had toys for our kiddos (welcomed bonus)I cant think of one one thing that didn’t go right. It was truly perfect. So thankful for such a wonderful property to rent for our vacation with our friends and children! I highly recommend renting this property for your next trip to a beautiful beach.

My Sanctuary
Renting this property was easy as 1,2,3! Chris was amazing with communication and promptly responded to my questions. He told me that he wants his guests to be treated the way he would want to be treated; he certainly lives up to his word. I’m so impressed I want to plan my next trip today. This home is beautiful. It’s beachy, it’s clean, it’s roomy, it’s cozy; my family felt right at home. My 7 year old even fell to tears as we left “I want to stay here forever”. Can’t say I blame him. I can’t wait to come back.
