“We loved the view! Access between the unit and Wengen was easy via the free van service during their service hours. Outside of the service hours (after 20:00 and before 08:00) it can get pricey paying for a taxi. The walk is nice but there is no sidewalk so it can be dangerous. The loft is accessible by a steep ladder and the ceiling is not standing height. The beds were super comfortable. We had a wonderful stay! The area is just spectacular for hiking and exploring.”

Each morning and evening, we could hear cow bells from the surrounding farms, and the view from the back porch over the hills was stunning. Habkern is a more rural option than others many tourists go to but it was a great base for us to use because we went to many different areas around the Jungfrau region. “The views were top notch, it was wonderful to see the different phases of the weather/clouds and the alps. The host was responsive. The home was clean and nice but a bit further out of town than I expected. The stairs to get to the front door were challenging for my elderly parents. If I had known there were so many stairs (in the dark), I would not have booked it with them. “The most beautiful view of the prettiest blue lake in Switzerland! The water was still blue when it was pouring rain! 5 minute walk to train that runs every hour to Interlaken so it was easy to plan our days. Updated new large house. Quiet neighborhood. Kitchen had all the dishes, cookware, spices, dishwasher detergent needed. Nice showers and bathtubs. Comfortable beds. Portable AC/fans. We slept with windows open in mid July.
