First off, the people running this place were incredibly nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the amount of work needed to update this property is still yet to be completed. I booked here due to very limited options during s national collegiate track meet. Yes, the bed was comfy, the room was clean. I don’t fault the property for booking up full due to the track meet to fund their remodeling efforts. Value vs room price: Nope

The property is old and very rundown. Our first room had dead bugs in the bathroom and the tub was either stained very bad or just filthy. They gave us a different room that was just as old with peeling paint and dirty baseboards but there were no bugs. I tried to find another room but it was a small town and couldn’t find a vacancy. This property needs to be gutted and completely remodeled. The only thing positive I can say is the bedding appeared and smelled clean but we laid on top of the bedding with towels covering as much as we could. We booked through Expedia so it was a non refundable reservation. I used Muse AI which assured it had a high approval rating and appeared to be the best value in town. I guess this tells us that AI isn’t quite there yet. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating.
