Holiday in Thompson Court

We enjoyed our week in Encounter Bay. We were pleasantly surprised by some of the extras supplied in this house. Whilst the house was mostly well equipped the stove/oven was quite slow and with only 1 rack in the oven cooking for our group of 9 took a long time. All the rooms were quite small compared to other houses we have stayed in for similar price. Thankfully the weather was great and we were out a lot so it didn't matter too much. Overall a great experience.

Ocean Retreat

I loved this beautiful home and enjoyed my time there. Very relaxing. Plenty of board games, playing cards and DVDs and magazines. Attic room can get very warm as the window doesnt open, the view is stunning though. Location is ideal. Walking distance from beach and the Bluff. Caught tommies and KG whiting off the beach and as crowded as Victor. The BBQ still is not working and there was no response from LJ Hooker about that at all. All sliding door flyscreens are clunky and do come off. No oven trays available so used alfoil. All stuff you can work around. The worst part was the lack of communication and outright miscomunication from LJHooker, the property manager. I was sent an email attachment from LJ saying we needed to take our own linen or hire from them. $120 for the beds we needed. Towels, pillowcases, sheets. Arrive at the house and see all beds are made...no linen needed. Towels only were needed. I have stayed at many places and direct communication with hosts has always been easy. To LG you are just a number in a computer and get sent a stock standard general email not tailored to the house. Threats in the tenancy agreement about xtra charges for not putting bins out on rubbish day but dont tell you when pickup day is. It all causes extra stess. I put out the bins with everyone else and they weren't picked up. LJ finally got back to me and said it was a fortnightly pickup and just put them all out Mon night. Information that would have been helpful in the threatening tenancy agreement. Like I said, just a number. If you go in aware of this you won't be disappointed. A beautiful, clean home with stunning views well suited to a family holiday.

Beautiful house with a great view

bbq was not working and house needs to be sprayed for ants and spiders. Apart from that it’s a perfect house to stay.

Thompson court

Was a lovely house. Perfect location. Had everything that we needed. The down stairs bedroom (kid’s bedroom bunks) was a bit smelly. Seemed like there was moisture or something in it that made it a bit yucky. But other than that was a great house.
