Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a Tiny Home?
Nestled among the trees, overlooking a neighboring pond, and completely off the grid our home will provide you with a unique experience in a solitary setting.
This solar-powered home was mainly built from recycled and re-purposed materials.
The Tiny Home is also close to many Summer activities such as water holes, hiking trails, Lake Carmi, Jay Peak, bike trails, Kayaking, covered bridges, and the color changing leaves in the Fall.
When we say that you will be off-the-grid we mean it. There is no internet and no cell phone reception in the property. You will be camping for all intents and purposes but will do it with some of the conveniences of a home. Please note: There is NO running water for the toilet. The shower water will be supplied by a tank which will need to be easily replenished by the guest after normal use.
The TH is powered by solar panels that allow you to have the basic necessities—lights, hot shower, TV and DVDs, charging stations.
The toilet is a compost toilet and we recommend you read about it so it does not surprise you when you get here. Once again, you need to understand compost toilets so we know that you are ok with this arrangement.
The sleeping area is on a loft above and features a queen sized mattress perfect for sleeping two people. You will need to be able to climb up a ladder to get to the loft
The TH has a small kitchen with a 4-burner camp stove and oven. A hand pumped faucet in a sink and a small fridge will complete the small kitchen. We recommend pugging the fridge during the day—if sunny—and using the Orca cooler at night.
The potable water will be provided. The water for the shower is stored in a water tank that will need to be refilled as needed. There is a rain water container that makes refilling very easy as well as some water containers.
A gas grill and small fire pit along with hiking trails and Lake Carmi nearby will complete the experience.
