"Hospitality at its finest! From the moment we arrived, our stay was wonderful. We got off the ferry and made our way to the square, where Kostas, the owner of the hotel, met us personally. He was incredibly sweet and walked us up to the hotel, a gorgeous 1800s mansion that has been beautifully transformed into a romantic blend of modern comfort and classic charm. Along the way, Kostas shared some of the history of Syros and, once we arrived, sat down with us and marked all of his favorite spots on a map. We tried several of his recommendations, and not one disappointed! He is a true class act and was incredibly responsive to anything we needed throughout our stay. Our room on the lower level was beautiful—modern, updated, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The open-concept shower was incredible, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Syros. They also offer cooking classes in their adorable kitchen, which we would love to try next time. An absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more!"

"The Diogenes is placed right at the harbour giving you easy access from the ferries and easy access to Ermoupoli itself. The room was clean and with a very nice bed. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could expect. The cafe offered coffees and drinks with a smile and help in practising the Greek language. I will definitely be back and next time for more than one night."
