“What an absolute gem of a place. I didn't want to leave! After a 2 week road trip, we wanted somewhere an 'easy' drive of SJO airport before our longhaul flight, and this place was perfect. We felt it extended our holiday because we instantly totally relaxed. The rooms had lovely comfortable beds and stunning views. The pool was amazing, as was the yoga room, the food was delicious and cooked with love. All the staff were delightful, making sure we were able to have massages in the beautiful……

“Lovely quiet area to stay. We speak very little Spanish, they were so willing and patient with communication. The porch area was lovely. We enjoyed rocking and having an evening drink. There is a small store about a mile away. We went to bed early and were so surprised that 4 other couples were there for breakfast. Breakfast was a “typical” and very good. ”

“The room and facilities were clean, my only complaint would be the area itself, out of control of the hotel. There was someone sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when we arrived and there really isn’t much to offer in the area. We only stopped for the night to catch the ferry the next day and thought that there would be more to see. ”

“We had an amazing stay at Akua Ocean View Suites. The location with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery from the terrace is simply stunning. The suite itself is cozy, modern, very clean, and surprisingly spacious. Everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite moments was in the morning — I watched beautiful birds from the terrace, including toucans! It made the experience feel truly special and unforgettable. We would……

“Room was good. Clean. Neat. Pool very nice. Quiet. Breakfast was superb and lady was so nice. You have to drive all through a small town to get there. But resort is very peaceful and quiet.”

“First, the staff were very nice. That's why you got 1 star. The room was not good at all. One bedroom had no working light. There were no bath towels for the bedroom. The cord to operate the blind in BR#2 was broken so the blind wouldn't open. There were no filters for the coffee maker nor were there any paper towels even for the kitchen. The pool was filthy. Instead of providing us a room, we were told we could get a better room if we paid for an upgrade. I didn't want an "upgrade" I……

“Wonderful place and lovely host. Their bioluminescence tour with Luis was amazing! Bed is comfortable. Be aware that there is no AC and it is 80 degrees at night. They have a great set up, fans pointed at the beds. Highly recommend this proprty!”
