The main floor encompasses the 2 story vaulted ceiling living room and large propane fireplace, electric wall heaters, dining, kitchen, and mudroom spaces, along with an inviting master queen bedroom and 3/4 bathroom. Tasteful, rustic decor runs throughout the cabin, truly setting the mood for your wilderness retreat.
After long days on the trail, return home to refuel with a tasty meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. Share your meals at the quaint dining table for 4-6, at the 3-person breakfast bar, or at the 6-person backyard patio set - complete with awning and LED lights! End your evening on a high note with a peaceful soak beneath the stars in the private hot tub, or stake your claim on one of four cushioned rocking chairs and roast s'mores around the propane fire pit!
Morning coffee is best enjoyed outside on one of the small private decks, overlooking the surrounding woodlands and wildlife. Although 'The Owl's Nest' is not waterfront, it is just a short walk through the woods via a county land trail to hundreds of yards of prime fishing waters. As an added bonus, the Reiter Steelhead hatchery is located a quarter mile upstream, popular for recreational fishing
When you're not hanging out on the river, there's a plethora of other fresh air adventures you can embark on! Eagle Falls is a short drive from the property and features a swimming hole perfect for the whole family. Hit the trails in Henry M. Jackson Wilderness Area, go mountain biking or hiking up to Wallace Falls and Wallace Lake, or venture further to explore the beautiful Alpine Lakes and Wild Sky Wilderness. You'll also find Lake Serene and the Bridal Veil Falls Trailhead just a short drive away! There are many additional hikes in the area for you to explore during your stay.
In the snowy months, this recreational paradise transforms into a winter wonderland! Just 34 miles away, you'll find the Stevens Pass Ski Area, which is a 1,125-acre winter sports complex with 37 runs, a terrain park, night skiing and a summertime bike park!
