“There was an issue with the pool at the Cretan Lodge prior to our arrival, our hosts contacted us a few days before and asked if Canes Villa would be ok as a substitute as they recognized the importance of a pool for the kids. We were very happy with the location. It was very easy to get to all of the areas we had planned to visit while in thay region of Crete. We only used the main house as we were a family of 4 travelling with small children, but if travelling with a larger group or 2 families……

“We arrived 2 hours too early, but that wasnt a problem. We were greeted with a cold mocktail and could check in immediately. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Room was very clean, modern and spacious. Kitchen was perfectly equiped. We had an amazing view of the see and mountainbikers (not every room has this). Amazing accommodation with 2 pools, enough beds and every pool has a great bar. We did eat once at the buffet, which has a good selection of food, good quality and friendly service.……

“The villa (Marianna) was exquisite. Overlooking Istron Bay and the Istron Hotel, the view was breathtaking. We were able to use the hotel’s amenities including beach chairs and umbrellas, which was nice. Dimitry was a great host and available to answer questions when they came up. Overall, highly recommend the private villas. Just bear in mind that access to the villas is via the Istron Hotel’s main access road so just enter the hotel as your destination otherwise you may just drive right……

“Our two families (4 adults and 4 teens) enjoyed our time at Etoile Villa for three nights. We took advantage of the pool and the outdoor area. We enjoyed coffee in the morning outside, looking at the beautiful garden area. The location is good to be able to access many areas of the east side of Crete (a car is required). We had to check in early due to our daughter not feeling well and Manolis worked to make it happen. He is a very responsive and helpful host, giving restaurant and beach……
