Great weekend stay!

Clean, cozy, fully equipped, safe, and a good blend of indoor and outdoor accomodations. A quick 20ish minute drive to UVA. We'll be back!

Girls Getaway

We had a lovely weekend away in this beautiful spot in wine country. The accommodations were fantastic, beautiful view, quiet spot, and a well-equipped kitchen.

Amazing stay!

The property is beautiful and the house is spotless, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. We enjoyed a long weekend visiting wineries in the area. It is a bit of a drive to Charlottesville for dinner but it’s manageable. The management is very responsive to questions. We hope to stay here again.

Amazing!

The house was beautiful, clean, updated and in the perfect location. Remote and relaxing, but close to wineries, breweries, hikes and Charlottesville. Hosts had the house completed with everything you need!

No worries at Hillside Haven

Where do I start? First of all let me say thanks to the owners of this beautiful property and home for letting us stay. If you want a clean and comfortable place and not want to be around people, Hillside Haven is the perfect place for you and your family and friends as well as your furbabies. Everything was well stocked and the beds were cozy and comfortable.

I’ve stayed in a lot of great VRBOs, but this is the most spotless house I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and perfectly appointed and orderly. Beautiful view and private, but right off of Rte 29. Only 30 minutes from Charlottesville with many wineries and great places to eat in between. Jamie was responsive and flexible. Great getaway with girlfriends!

Nice property with a good view. However, when we first booked the house, the ad stated no pets. When we got there, it was obvious that pets had been there as one of our guests is allergic to pet dander.

Stylish Getaway in quiet surroundings

The property was great! It has clearly been recently renovated. the deck is really nice and the srting lights are very romantic at night. It has nice views. stylish and comfortable furnishings, very comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully equipped. Overall we had a great stay.

Fantastic

Hillside Haven was wonderful for our family's Spring Break! The attention to detail meant that we didn't even touch many of the supplies we brought. All of the kitchen items were in perfect condition. We loved the view and proximity to Shenandoah, Charlottesville, and Staunton. We were a little nervous about it being dog-friendly because we have family members with dog allergies but the house was immaculate and it was a non-issue. We will definitely think about staying here again next time we explore this area. This property exceeded our expectations.

Lovely spot with responsive hosts

We stayed over a long weekend for a baseball tournament down the road. The cabin was well maintained and updated, and provided a cozy spot for grandparents, parents, Labrador, and young kids to relax and unwind after long days of baseball. With a minor issue, the host had maintenance out within 40 minutes who handled it. We would not hesitate to book with this host again.

Hillside Haven is a well appointed and comfortable property. The hosts provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. We only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the firepit and beautiful fall views. Next time.

Exceptional!

Where to start... The location is perfect, wine and brewery trails within 10-30 minutes driving, Charlottesville only 30 mins away. House is beautifully situated in a private setting on a hill, with a huge yard and large fire pit to sit and enjoy the mountain view. House is immaculate, newly remodeled with fresh modern decor. Rooms nicely appointed with plenty of towels, luxury bedding, soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner (full sizes!). Chocolates on the pillow was a nice touch! Kitchen is well stocked with all the pantry and spice essentials - even found s'mores fixings in the cabinet! Appreciated the new Brita Water Filter filled for us on arrival, and the fresh ground coffee for that early morning sunrise. They are pet friendly, so we were able to take our two small dogs with us - they loved the large garden! Oh, and I forgot, the huge screen TV in family broom for your viewing pleasure. (TVs in all tey bedrooms as well). Had a lovely, lovely weekend, will be back!
