「I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral.
I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed.
Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days.
Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side!
Would definitely stay here again.」

「I am writing to express my disappointment with our stay at Danes Court. The property was not as described and had numerous maintenance and safety issues.
Ensuite: The main shower didn’t work, lighting had no IP rating, the extractor fan was black, and the bath plug chain was broken.
Main bathroom: The blind and shower head holder were broken, the window wouldn’t open, and there was nowhere to place toiletries in the shower.
Downstairs toilet: The macerator caused foul smells through the sink...
