Spectacular Lake view! Cozy lake front home w/Kayaks, Great Wifi, Pet Friendly!

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our stay. The house is great. Bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Sadly the water was 12 feet above normal stage. So we had to swim out to the dock to fish. We ferried the fishing equipment in one of the kayaks. We did that once. Too much effort. But we did enjoyed just lolling around in the lake when the afternoons got hot. Water near the surface was like bath water. Certainly lots of wildlife in the area. We saw deer, black vultures, bunnies, crows, a turkey, a groundhog, and two skunks. We also followed a Weimaraner down the road. Not sure if he was running away from home or back home. We had a relaxing week and would certainly recommend this house."

"Property was as described in terms of amenities and very clean. Location great for lake activities although we used it to visit parks, go kayaking and other activities (so lots of driving). Locale places tend to work on a long weekend schedule so closed Monday to Wednesday. Leichfield is the closest place with more restaurants and stuff. Host was very reachable and helpful but no real problems to solve. Word of caution, Apple maps led us to street but not the house so read the address numbers on the houses to find it. Lastly the tabletop arcade game was fun distraction especially if you remember the old arcade games. We would stay here again."

"Property was quaint, with a balcony to sit and view the lake. And the screened in porch was great for evening time. The road to get there was narrow and windy, but very little oncoming cars to have to watch for anyway. Also, just wish there was a nicer beach on the lake to access nearby. Our timing with recent flooding was more of the factor to that though. Host quickly responded to any questions."

"We had a great stay. However, upon arrival, we found busted water balloons out back along with cigarette butts from the previous stay I assume. There was poison ivy/oak all over around walkways, trees, decking, fire pit was not utilized due to the amount in that area. Someone to spray the vines would be great. Sheets on one of the beds upstairs had stains on them so they weren't slept on. There was a bad smell outside that either came from trash bins or sewer. I wish the lake view was little better but not a deal breaker.The home was very clean, had a screened in porch and everything else we needed except a blender. Kayak's were available for use and were great! We saw a deer in the neighbors yard. Host was wonderful to deal with as well. She was prompt and kept me in the loop about the water level and checked on us after our stay. I recommend Happy Jack's Winery! Very friendly and very good wines! All in all, I'd stay there again!"

"Two families stayed together here with plenty of room. The wide open living area was great, the porch waa awesome with a lot of time spent there. The boat ramp being next door was super easy to walk down for fishing and swimming. The house was actually better than the pics and had just about everything you could need!"

"Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and decorated so nicely. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evening. Plenty of outdoor space for the entire family. Beautiful setting! Hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. We would definitely come back if we decide to visit Mammoth Caves again!"
