home away from home

The property and amenities were absolutely perfect for some overdue family time. The property owners were very accommodating and wonderful to work with! We enjoyed our stay and were sad to see it end. Thank you for allowing us to share this beautiful space!!

Cool house with lots of amenities. Weather was cool but did get in the pool. Enjoyed campfire. Guys went fishing and kayaking. Played 8-ball in the evenings. Visited Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen, Corning Glass Museum and Rockwell Art Museum.Train was closer and more frequent than anticipated.

Lovely stay

Property and location were simply wonderful. Very welcoming feel and comfortable for all guests. Spent most of our time sitting outside enjoying the scenery. Would definitely stay again.

A very nice rural property

The home is in a beautiful location close to Bath, NY. The residence was very clean and the property well maintained. Perfect for families. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

We had a small group of family stay for a long weekend. We loved playing badminton and using the pool! We were able to take the kayaks out across the road to do a short float trip.

Amazing property

We had a great time at this place. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We couldn’t get enough of the pool and patio- such a great spot to hang out. Plus, the badminton setup was a fun bonus. Totally recommend for a fab stay.

A serene long weekend

We loved our stay in the farm house with family on 4th of July long weekend. It’s a peaceful home, we loved the pool and peaceful vibe. Kids enjoyed a lot. Would recommend this house to my friends. Thanks Cecelia for hosting us :)

Nice location while in the area for a family reunion

Very nice for families travelling with young children. There were a lot of toys provided and room for them to run. Since it was a quick trip, it is very convenient to have the small market within walking distance. We were able to order pizza and subs when we arrived. The pool was clean and the propery is very pretty. Since we have family in the area, it was convenient for them to stop in the evening for a visit on the large back patio. Plenty of parking also. We hope to stay again.

Very happy with rental

Enjoyed the mature landscape, clean property and comfortable home. My kids enjoyed the volleyball net, and open green space. Too cold to swim but pool and entertaining space were very nice. Only small draw back was location in proxicimity to the train tracks. Train came though all hours of the day/night very fast and loud horns.

It was great!

The property was well maintained and clean! The pool was a great perk! Our only little issue was when the description said “linens included” we thought that meant pool towels also so we did not bring our own. I was glad to find the Dollar General was close by! I ran over there to buy a few towels to use for the pool. Other than that everything was good! Hope we can visit again!

Lovely secluded property if that's what you're looking for-the train adds charm. Conveniently located next to a little market that has something for everyone whether you want to cook or not. 20 minutes from Addison/Corning/Woodhull where there are cute local spots to check out.The house has all the creature comforts you could want-we were there during a heat wave and the host had the AC cranked for us when we arrived. If you're traveling with multiple adults I would suggest bringing an air mattress or two as some of the beds are small for two! The living areas are spacious enough to not feel overcrowded if your bunking in. The pool was fantastic - sparkling and inviting. Plenty of floats/arm floaties for kids. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor seating. Our small family gathering turned into about 30 people and there was plenty of room for everyone! We didn't use the lawn above the house but the fire pit, volley ball net and horse shoe pit were ready to go and the host provides everything for a fun yard game.

Large Home with Many Amenities in Beautiful Rural New York

I stayed at this rental for two nights in late July with 3 friends and my partner. We really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor space generally, the proximity to basically all Finger Lakes attractions (within about 1.5 hours from our furthest point of interest), and the large indoor space as well which provided ample opportunity for both alone time and time with the group (and was also impeccably clean)! I would definitely book this rental again, but preferably for a longer period so there would be time for both doing different activities in the area and spending more substantial time in the house, on the porch, in the back field, and in the pool! (:

Great For family

Our stay was great, the house was cool, clean and homey and the grounds are well kept and amazing. The pool was clean and pool deck comfortable. There were a lot of toys and games for all ages both inside and outside. There are floaties for the pool and floatation devices for the kayaks. I would've liked to know that there are train tracks right outside, that the lake was across the tracks and that the pool is shallow and not heated. Also, there is wifi but no cell service. Even so, our stay was relaxing and comfortable and we made use of the wonderful grounds, went kayaking in the lake, made s'mores over the fire pit and had a great time. Also, the owners are very responsive and gracious ! I accidentally left something there and they offered to mail it to me! I would recommend a stay here!

Relaxing family trip

Beautiful farmhouse with a ton of space. Pool was so great in the 90 degree heat, and the AC was a plus. We were really grateful for the baby items available (high chair, pack and play, walker), it was a huge perk! Owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Our only challenge was that we weren't prepared with our own dish soap, dish sponge, paper towels, garbage bags, or Kleenex. We are used to staying at properties that provide a minimal amount of these things but only toilet paper and hand soap were provided. This isn't a deal breaker by any means, however since we weren't prepared, we scrambled for the first day and a half to get to the store for all these things. I just wish the listing was explicit in that guests should be sure to bring those items along. Overall though, we had a wonderful stay.

"Forest House" on the Railway

My family and I stayed at this home for a long weekend. It was clean and fairly comfortable. There were toys for the kid and plenty of space. Cons: the train runs right in front of the house and constantly (including middle of the night), shaking the house while blowing the whistle; very disruptive especially for the kid (and therefore, the adults). The kitchen was not stocked with ANYTHING except some paper towels and dish soap. We had to buy everything (salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc.); it would have been nice to at least have coffee to accompany the provided coffee maker on the counter, especially after the interrupted sleep we had with the train. We were given JUST enough towels/linens for 1 day, no extras for additional days, so we did laundry 2 days out of the 3 days we stayed. Since we were in-and-out a lot, we didn't contact the host. We also didn't get use out of the pool but the space looked lovely and inviting. Over all it was an OK stay.

Great Coutry Location with access within reasonable distance of stores, restaurants, etc, if you prefer more “city” atmosphere. Pool was clean, but we did not use it due to the time of our stay (late September). Host was very responsive even when it was just with simple questions.
