Our stay at Lafayette Flats was great! Amy and Shawn were wonderful hosts. They sent us all the info we needed before check-in and followed up on us during the trip to make sure things were going well and if we needed anything. The flat itself was adorable, clean, and full of little nice touches. We really appreciated the Bridge Day pamphlets and the little welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived. So thoughtful! They even had books about New River Gorge and Fayetteville- including their own book about Lafayette Flats- which added a fun local touch. Check-in and check-out were simple and stress-free. We’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!

Loved staying here!

Really enjoyed “The Eddy” flat on the 3rd floor. Super clean, high quality amenities, and amazing local art decorating all the walls, hallways and stairwells! Kitchen was great, very spacious bathroom w/ awesome shower, nice comfy bed and super quiet! Will definitely stay here again- Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway

The flat was immaculate and exactly as described. The town is cute and the flat is within walking distance of several local eateries. Very close to the park and outdoor activities. Communication with the proprietor was easy and they provide good tips and resources for the area, including an especially good reference on area hikes. Highly recommend the Eddy as a base for your getaway in this beautiful region. If we visit again we’d stay here again without question!

Perfect VRBO

This property was absolutely perfect! Nestled in Fayetteville with bars, restaurants and nature all just steps away. The property itself was METICULOUS! Not a single speck of dirt anywhere, including hallways and common areas. It was extremely well appointed-down to extra batteries for remote controls if needed! We were there for a very short trip and cannot wait to come back and stay again. There are 4 units in the building, so it would be perfect for a friend or sibling/family trip! Hosts were flexible and accommodating! They provided a wealth of information on the surrounding areas and restaurants. It was absolutely perfect! Well done Amy and Shawn!

Perfect stay in Fayetteville!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lafayette Flats. Everything was perfect. The apartment was so nice and clean and comfortable. Communication and instructions for check-in were thorough. We enjoyed the artistic vibe throughout the building. We had everything we needed and the furniture and bed were comfortable. Having such a nice place to stay really made our getaway a fun trip. Great!

We were visiting family in Fayetteville and stayed at the Fayetteville Flats. The apartment was large and comfortable and we walked down to The Station for a drink before calling it a night. We'll stay here again the next time we're in town.

Great Accomodation

I loved the place, it's just been renovated a year ago. Amy and Shawn have wonderfully decorated the place and we loved staying there. It is in the heart of the Coolest Small town, Fayetteville. Walkable to all the good restaurants and a small drive to rafting companies and the bridge. Me and friends really loved the place and our stay over there, Shawn and Amy have good suggestions for restaurants and places to look around. They created a pretty booklet to find about the locality,trails and locations around. I am definitely going back to their place when visiting.

Loved the flat, only 1 issue that brought my rating down.

Such a beautiful and comfortable flat in a quaint little town. The only problem for me was the loud HVAC system. The air conditioner vent which is located right by the head of the bed was very loud. Other than that it was perfect. Appreciate the cleanliness as well.

Historically renovated apartment

Perfect. Kelly and I throughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely apartment. The art and accoutrements were stunning. We enjoyed reading the history of the building and your journey to acquire it. I was impressed with the quality of the restoration, keeping the historic touches throughout. Not everyone would have gone to the extra trouble and expense. We hiked both of your suggested trails. Our morning hike on Endless Wall was lovely; the views were stunning! We then stopped at the bridge and walked out to the observation deck (oh those stairs!) Our afternoon walk on Long Point was interrupted by a thunderstorm breaking out just after we reached the point. No matter, the forest canopy protected us from direct assault, tho we were thoroughly drenched by the time we reached the parking lot! We sampled a wonderful garlic/onion white pie at pies and pints on our first night, and ate the rest for lunch. Excellent. Beds were great and Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. We were able to have dinner music. Kelly is a trained chef and decided to make her famous shrimp and grits creole dish. In doing so, we discovered that the kitchen is somewhat “lighting challenged.” Perhaps a small under counter light could help... We also discovered that the can opener was bent and would no longer grasp the can lip. Should be replaced. Finally, the spray cleaner (under the sink) is nearly empty. A glowing 5-stars. We will highly recommend Lafayette Flats to our friends. Fayetteville is indeed one of the coolest small towns we’ve experienced! Thank you again for being there for us. Bonne chance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this funky, beautiful apartment. The apartment is like a work of stage art and thoughtfully furnished. The space is immaculate the owners great communicators. The shower is one of the best I've ever experienced. The location is perfect for visiting the New River Gorge but having easy access to a number of excellent restaurants and shops. You won't want to leave!

Clean & Welcoming

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Lafayette Flats. The apartment is clean and the host makes sure you are comfortable. Perfect for one or two people. The location is great because you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. I enjoyed walking to the park and adjoining trails each morning.

We stayed at the Lafayette flats as a base for rock climbing at the New. Was great in every way - walking to restaurants and across the street from the local climbing shop! The flats are beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Lafayette Flats - beautiful

We stayed in the Eddy! What a beautiful, clean and comfortable place to relax after a day of hiking. The art work is lovely and we enjoyed reading about each piece. We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo’s and this is definitely the top one. Thanks to our wonderful hosts.

Fabulous Property

Lafayette Flats, Eddy was amazing! Everything about it was perfect, the building, the location & most of all the hot shower & comfortable bed after a long day of hiking & exploring. It was well stocked with everything & anything we needed and the property owners were great.

What a great getaway!

This is our second time staying at Lafayette flats and we will be back again for sure. This time we went with some other couples and each couple rented a room. It was such a great getaway. It was super clean and had such a cool, comfortable vibe. Communication with property manager was great and check in was a breeze. The new store below was awesome too. Great location for restaurants and hiking trails. Just book it! :)

We loved everything about our stay!

You can tell that the owners are travelers because they thought of everything. We used the flat as a home base for rafting and hiking. They even included an amazing hiking guide book in the room. We used it everyday. The flat is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed checking out all the little details. We loved that there was plenty of storage so we didn’t have to live out of our suitcases. The flat was also immaculate. We’ve never stayed anywhere so clean! And we happened to run into the owners and they were so nice. Lafayette Flats is the perfect location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and just minutes from New River Gorge National Park.
