Perfect stay in Fayetteville!
We really enjoyed our stay at Lafayette Flats. Everything was perfect. The apartment was so nice and clean and comfortable. Communication and instructions for check-in were thorough. We enjoyed the artistic vibe throughout the building. We had everything we needed and the furniture and bed were comfortable. Having such a nice place to stay really made our getaway a fun trip. Thank you!

Perfect getaway
The flat was immaculate and exactly as described. The town is cute and the flat is within walking distance of several local eateries. Very close to the park and outdoor activities. Communication with the proprietor was easy and they provide good tips and resources for the area, including an especially good reference on area hikes. Highly recommend the Eddy as a base for your getaway in this beautiful region. If we visit again we’d stay here again without question!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Lafayette Flats. The apartment is clean and the host makes sure you are comfortable. Perfect for one or two people. The location is great because you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. I enjoyed walking to the park and adjoining trails each morning.

We stayed at the Lafayette flats as a base for rock climbing at the New. Was great in every way - walking to restaurants and across the street from the local climbing shop! The flats are beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Eddy! What a beautiful, clean and comfortable place to relax after a day of hiking. The art work is lovely and we enjoyed reading about each piece. We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo’s and this is definitely the top one. Thanks to our wonderful hosts.

Lafayette Flats, Eddy was amazing! Everything about it was perfect, the building, the location & most of all the hot shower & comfortable bed after a long day of hiking & exploring. It was well stocked with everything & anything we needed and the property owners were great.

What a great getaway!
This is our second time staying at Lafayette flats and we will be back again for sure. This time we went with some other couples and each couple rented a room. It was such a great getaway. It was super clean and had such a cool, comfortable vibe. Communication with property manager was great and check in was a breeze. The new store below was awesome too. Great location for restaurants and hiking trails. Just book it! :)

We loved everything about our stay!
You can tell that the owners are travelers because they thought of everything. We used the flat as a home base for rafting and hiking. They even included an amazing hiking guide book in the room. We used it everyday. The flat is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed checking out all the little details. We loved that there was plenty of storage so we didn’t have to live out of our suitcases. The flat was also immaculate. We’ve never stayed anywhere so clean! And we happened to run into the owners and they were so nice. Lafayette Flats is the perfect location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and just minutes from New River Gorge National Park.

Gorgeous flat! Best vacation rental
This flat and the building are gorgeous. It’s a historic building that was beautifully renovated by the owners. Artwork greets you from the moment you step in and accompanies your walk up the stairs to your flat. Our flat was on the 3rd floor. It was stylish, artsy and simply beautiful. The gray, turquoise and purple fused so well together to create a welcoming, comfortable ambience. I loved it! If you are looking to be wowed stay in this flat. You will have to walk up 2 flights of stairs but that would not deter me. I would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact I’d only return to the area if I could stay here. The apartment was sparkling clean with very thoughtful touches. You can tell that the owners really care about making sure their guests have everything they might need in a short term rental. Paintings adorn every wall giving you interesting scenes to admire, it’s like staying in a museum. Necessary cookware is available. I cooked most of my meals as I was on a diet. We enjoyed walking around town too. The area felt very safe. We walked to Pies and Pints and had a lovely dinner one evening. My husband and I appreciated the opportunity to stay here. Highly recommend!

West Virginia Gem!
The Eddy flat was exactly as pictured online. Rooms are large and roomy. Spotless. Modern technology (HDMI cord for connecting laptop to TV, Bluetooth speaker, DVD player, phone recharging hub on night stand). Lots of electric outlets. The shower has two nooks for soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The two shower heads (one fixed and one handheld) had a great spray. Four large towels and four wash cloths are provided, but you can ask for more if needed. Kitchen offers a toaster, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. The Eddy exceeded our expectations, and the owners are attentive. We will definitely return when back in the area.

Highly recommend! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had modern appliances & nice silverware, plates, pots and pans. Communication with the hosts was great before, during and after our stay. Location was directly in town so close to restaurants & a playground/park. Hiking trails were short drives in all directions, and the local trail guide in the apartment was much appreciated.

Best Spot for a New River Gorge Vcation
Lafayette Flats is a beautiful place to stay. My room, the Eddy, had everything I needed for a comfortable vacation. Fayetteville is super close to New River Gorge National Park which was perfect for me. It was easy to get into the building and my room, even when I arrived very late on the first night. Great communication with the property manager, too, she checked in during my stay to make sure everything was good.

Second Stay at Lafayette
This place is adorable. I stayed here Labor Day Weekend of 2020 and 2021. It is within walking distance to many places, in downtown Fayetteville, and driving distance to a lot of activities. I hope to be back next year!

Amazing rental
Lafayette Flats was such a great place to stay in Fayetteville! Great location, lovely renovation of the old bank with so many super cool remnants of the bank. Super easy to find! Hiking up the stairs to the 3rd floor was a slog, but I would do it all again in a minute to be back in that colorful and peaceful place!

We were so pleased with our room! It's in a great location, the room was pristine, and we loved the decor! We enjoyed all the cute, quirky little touches in the decorating, and we appreciated having cold water waiting for us in the fridge. The coffee was good too! Great place to stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We loved all of the local art & the attention to detail, even going so far as to send us information about events going on in town & checking in on us. We loved that there were so many shops & restaurants within walking distance, along with a majority of New River Gorge's main hiking trails within a 20 minute drive. Definitely would stay again & recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Unforgettable Boutique Hotel
We loved our stay at this very special place. If you love art, style, nature, and beautiful surroundings—Lafayette Flats is your place. The focus is all things West Virginia— art, poetry, history, books, the New River Gorge situated in a sweet hideaway in quaint Fayetteville, West Virginia. So much to say, but you should just experience it yourself. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

A Terrific Property with Extra Touches
I would highly recommend this property. The owners, Amy and Sean were fabulous and prompt communicators. They sent me lots of info on the area, from restaurant recommendations to sights of what the area has to offer. Amy offered some small extra touches that you often don’t see when renting….plenty of coffee, written suggestions on where to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, shampoo, lotion and conditioner, in addition to nice, fluffy towels. The location is great….easy walking distance to good Fayetteville restaurants. The unit was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed, with some fun artwork on the walls.

Loved the flat, only 1 issue that brought my rating down.
Such a beautiful and comfortable flat in a quaint little town. The only problem for me was the loud HVAC system. The air conditioner vent which is located right by the head of the bed was very loud. Other than that it was perfect. Appreciate the cleanliness as well.

Beautiful space with everything we needed
My wife and I stayed in one room while another couple we are friends with stayed in another. This historic building was beautiful and each room was personally and lovingly decorated. The space was clean and welcoming. Everything we needed was provided and there was even kitchenware that allowed us to prepare breakfasts and dinners in our rooms. We loved hiking the New River Gorge and when we come back to try our hand at white water rafting we will stay here again. Thank you to the owners and property managers for such welcoming accomadations.

We really enjoyed the Eddy flat. The artwork was fun and engaging - so many little surprises tucked in the corners. So comfortable too. We enjoyed hanging out on the sofa and slept well on the queen size bed. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed. And most importantly, it was clean.

Best Vacation Apartment Ever!
My husband and I have stayed in many, many vacation rentals over the years. I'm pretty sure this is the nicest ever. The attention to detail is over the top. I loved all the little touches that make Lafayette Flats super special. Absolutely loved all the art, the huge windows, fabulous shower, spacious bedroom, and the little writing nook by the front door. The living room was a super comfy place to sit, relax and read after a long day of hiking. Cannot say enough good things about Eddy and Lafayette Flats!

The Lafayette Flat apartment (#4) was incredible, The VRBO description looked great but the place was even nicer in person. The owners have done a fantastic remodel job from refinishing the old wooden doorways to modernizing the apartment. It was very roomy which was great as we had a lot of rain so could not be outside all the time. It was quiet at night even with windows open. Small kitchen perfect for us and bathroom had great shower. It was imaginatively decorated. More important: easy parking, walk to many restaurants, centrally located for many areas of New River Gorge National Park. Hosts provided great and current information on restaurants etc prior to visit. This is a real gem.

Best place in town
Lafayette Flats was one of the first places that popped up when looking for a place to stay near/in Fayetteville, New River Gorge. I fell in love immediately with the design/layouts of the apartments. I am so glad we booked the Eddy. A perfect place to retreat after taking a hike. The staircases reminded me of growing up in Europe. I loved everything about the Flats. Thank you Amy and Shawn for sharing this beautiful landmark with us.

Overall excellent place to stay! The location was perfect and easy to get to. Had all the amenities expected. The only two things which I would mention is to make sure to park in their designated spaces early - we had to park in another area because their spots were taken, and the bed was rather firm. Again, overall, great place to stay and we will be trying one of the other 3 rooms for our next trip to Fayetteville!

Lafayette Flats was lovely and exactly as described - gorgeous but not at all fussy. We were pleased that the flats are centrally located in the fun town of Fayetteville, West Virginia. A large "Mask Up" banner reassured us that it was a safe place to visit and it was safe. We had a keyless entry to the building and every establishment we visited and every trail we hiked, folks were wearing masks!.

For the past three years I have tried to make a point to stay at Lafayette’s at least once a year as a “treat your self” experience.... I always leave refreshed and inspired by all the amazing artwork that fills the halls and flats. Best place to stay in Fayetteville, and that’s coming from a local!

Shawn & Amy are the wonderful owners of the Flats. Everything is within walking distance in downtown Fayetteville. The apartments themselves are well designed and well furnished. We definitely make the Flats our go to place when we visit the New River Gorge.

Comforts of home in a convenient location
we live the location of this m property - close to the hiking we came to enjoy and explore. We loved the history and story of the flats and how they cane to be. Everywhere you look you see a new piece of art you didn't notice before. It's tucked away in every nook and cranny. The small kitchen was well equipped to do the cooking we had planned for as we eat a hearty breakfast before taking on the trails for the day. We always plan to experience a local meal for dinner and this time our favorite was Pies and Pints. Probably the best pizza we've ever had. And it's all walking distance from the flats. Great choice for anyone exploring the New River Gorge area.
