Summary:
Regroup at the "Rebel Base" in the heart of Fayettevile, West Virginia's "Coolest Small Town". This 2 bedroom, 1 bath house has a tasteful and fun Star Wars theme that will welcome you in after a day of exploring the New River Gorge National Park. The "Rebel Base" is strategically located on a quiet street but less than a five minute walk from Downtown. The base was fully remodeled in 2022 with hosting in mind and feels modern and functional. This is the nicest small vacation rental in town!

The Rebel Base is in a quiet residential neighborhood next to Downtown. Our neighbors are friendly and polite - please wave or say hello when you see them! When we're in town, we like to start our Saturdays with a stroll over to Wood Iron Eatery or Cathedral Cafe for coffee and breakfast.
Getting Around:
The Rebel Base is on a very narrow street and the town strictly enforces their policy of no on-street parking for vacation rentals. Please help us comply with the policy and respect our neighbors by only parking in the driveway. The driveway only has room for two vehicles, so if you need to bring more than two cars on your trip, this is not the place for you.
You're a short, safe walk to the shops and restaurants in Downtown Fayetteville.
Interaction with Guests:
We live on the West Coast, so there is a 3-hour time difference (8:00 a.m. in WV is 5:00 a.m. where we live). We are happy to answer any questions you have, and certainly, if there is a problem, contact us immediately. If your question is not urgent, please try to wait until the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

The Star Wars themed property is a galactic gem! Cleaner than a polished R2-D2. The location was perfect—close to local hotspots yet serene like Endor’s moon. Amenities were top-notch, and the host was as responsive as C-3PO. A true rebel base for our vacation—we will certainly be back.

House was exactly as described and pictured, very clean, great proximity to town, comfortable beds. Only thing that caught us a little off guard, but really can’t be shown in a picture, is a definitely “basement smell” you get in an older house…it was the first thing we noticed when we walked in. Recommend bringing a couple plug-in air fresheners! But, we would still stay ij it again for all of the other reasons cited.

Awesome theme and location
We booked with short notice and were completely satisfied. The home was very tidy and our host was accommodating. We didn’t need much but it met all of needs. The location was very close to the New River Gorge attractions. If we were in the area again, we definitely would consider this location again.

Conveniently located near stores and restaurants as well as the bridge in New River Gorge National Park. My husband especially enjoyed the Star Wars decor. The kitchen was small (cooktop, only microwave oven) but well equipped with dishes and pans. The living room had a sofa and desk chair, but not the two extra chairs shown in the picture. Be aware before booking that there is off-street parking for two cars and NO parking on the street

This was such a great, little spot to stay during our Fayetteville adventures! The house was a quiet retreat to get away the crowds, but also just a short walk from downtown. Fun decor and everything you need for a comfy getaway. We did minimal cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed including spices and coffee options. Only hiccup would be the slight incline of the parking area with our lower car, but we managed! Easy check-in and clear communication. We would happily stay at the Rebel Base again!

Walkable to town
Great property overall. Quiet street and easily walkable to town, restaurants, coffee, bars, etc. very short drive to lots of hiking and other activities in the national park. Fayetteville is an AWESOME little town. Would definitely come back.

Great Weekend!
House was easy to find and close to the town. We were able to walk to our favorite places in Fayetteville. House was clean and stocked with many items you may need. (Coffee, spices, kitchen ware, towels, soap, etc.)

Everything is clean and comfortable.
Kitchen is simple but functional - the host even provided complimentary coffee and creamers. Bedrooms are quiet. Great loation - close to New River Gorge and to Fayetteville's main streets (restaurants, shops).

Fantastic property
This property was exactly as advertised and perfect for my wife and I. This house was exceptionally clean with plenty of soap, shampoo, towels, and coffee. The owner was very easy to get ahold of and worked with me when I needed to stay an extra night. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Fayetteville area. You can't go wrong here. Thanks for making this property available to us. It was in a very quiet neighborhood close to many stores, restaurants, and attractions.

A great base for Rebel Scum
We were here for a couple of days and this place was fantastic for 2 people. Plenty roomy enough for the both of us and all the amenities you'd need for a stay. The kitchen and bathroom could be described as efficiency, but we were never left wanting. Decor is as listed and makes for a nice reprieve from the Empire outside.

Clean and well stocked
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rebel Base. Appears to be recently renovated and the owners did an excellent job. Plenty of towels, shampoo, and a well stocked kitchen made for a comfortable stay. Close to town in a quiet neighborhood was a bonus.
