Second Breakfast is a lovely wooden cabin nestled in the heart of Leatherwood Mountains. Located just steps away from enchanting forest trails (more than 75 miles of trails), and with access to plenty of activities within the community—zip lining, horseback riding, biking, tubing in Elk Creek, or fly fishing in the Leatherwood ponds, just to name a few. You’ll be able to choose your own adventure here! At the end of the day, come home to a magnificent view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hot tub, located on the spacious deck, is a perfect place to unwind.
Inside the cabin, step into your home away from home – with its well-appointed kitchen and with plenty of room for everyone. Curl up in front of the wood burning fireplace in the living room, with plenty of natural light streaming in from the expansive windows. Hang out in the sunroom just off the dining room. Watch your favorite shows on the smart TVs on any of the 3 floors and enjoy fast Wi-Fi anywhere in the house. Play board games and hold foosball and air-hockey tournaments in the basement. Let your kids run around the fenced yard and play backyard games. Lots to do here, both outdoors and indoors!

• The nearest grocery stores are about 25 miles away so please plan accordingly. The Saddlebrook Grill restaurant by the entrance of Leatherwood is open on weekends (Friday dinnertime to Sunday lunchtime).
• 30 minute drive to Boone and Blowing Rock

The cabin is located in the 4000-acre Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Guests can enjoy ziplining and horseback riding adventures (reservations required), and experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ pristine wilderness. Guests have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, playground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).
Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.
