"The host was supposed to return to the gite with a kettle as the one that was there was broken.... but he did not return so we spent three weeks with no kettle. The bbq which was stated on information was completely broken so of no use. The whole gute was plagued with cobwebs and dust everywhere. The owner made excuses saying in his very broken English that "it is the country " well we have lived in the country and didn't have dirt and cobwebs everywhere."

"We had a wonderful stay at La Truffiere. It is a beautiful and very well equipped property with and excellent host. The pool was great and very well maintained. The local village of Belves is well worth a visit. The property is also very well placed for other attractions in the region such as Sarlat, Domme, Monpazier and Beynac. Bernard is a great host and really looked after us and was on hand if we needed him. We would thoroughly recommend this property. "

Dommage que la pompe de la piscine ait été bruyante (placée sous la chambre) et que le voisin ait fait des travaux 12h/jour même le dimanche, car le reste de l'environnement très très paisible. Il manque aussi une couverture pour la piscine qui était assez froide pour un milieu d'été (24/25)"

"A well equipped and spacious house, converted from a centuries old farmhouse. Located in a peaceful village but not too far from a small town and also all the sights of Perigord Noir. The spacious garden has numerous corners to sit in and relax.A lovely family holiday."

"A lovely house in beautiful village. Second bathroom on top floor did not have toilet which was inconvenient as had to use ensuite in bottom bathroom. There were no toiletries supplied in bathrooms"

"This is a very old beautiful house. The location is rural with lovely views, it's so peaceful and relaxing. It's a very short drive or about 20mins walk into the beautiful town of Belves. Me family particularly enjoyed the two friendly dogs visiting from the farm opposite. The hosts were readily available to answer any questions we had. "
