“Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. ”

“Absolutely fantastic...could have stayed on and on! This was our third stay as a family at this superb house and we will be back again for sure. The house has plenty of space - more than enough for four adults and we wished that we had invited some friends too! As usual, Maria Cristina and Luca were the most wonderful and considerate hosts with excellent communication and, as expected, a the property was beautifully presented. We came back again without hesitation as this house is perfect……

“Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. Das Haus wurde während unseres Aufenthalts geputzt, der Pool mehrfach gereinigt, aber immer mit……

“Our group of 3 adults, 2 children, and a dog had a wonderful holiday at this property. The stunning mountain views impressed us every day, and the large, well-kept infinity pool was a true highlight.The property offers a small house for 2, a larger one for 5, and a charming Tea-House. All are cozy, perfectly suited to the number of guests, and fully equipped with bathrooms and kitchens. The Tea-House is perfect for relaxing.A turtle enclosure and a friendly trio of donkeys made the stay even……

“Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Gastgeber! Die Mühle ist sehr gemütlich, der Pool ist großartig und wird regelmäßig gereinigt, Ausflüge wie zB nach Lucca sind von hier gut möglich. Der Ort ist nicht touristisch, bedeutet allerdings auch dass es wenig Gastronomie gibt - und vor allem kein TakeAway. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :-)”

“The cottage is wonderful for getting away from it all. Comfy bed, wifi, brilliant host, a varied selection of wildlife and animals! The location is really off the beaten track, the last road to the parking is very narrow with tight bends. We walked down the ancient path to the medieval bridge a couple of times, steep but great views. Very peaceful place, thoroughly recommended.”

“Such a beautiful property in a stunning location. Ilario gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and made sure we had all the information we would need for our stay. We had a super week as a family of 5 adults, enjoying the views whilst having an apperitivo under the veranda or swimming in the fantastic pool. The villa is well equipped and very clean! We really couldn't have asked for more. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, and hope that we can visit again soon!Thank you Ilario and Marie……
