TLDR: Great location, great space, quirky light switch placements, hot upstairsFirst of all, the house was MOSTLY great. Perfect location, close to town but not in the middle of town. Everything we needed space wise with four bedrooms in the house and the added apartment. Not technically a casita as it is attached to the main house. But we needed the separate space for two of our friends so it was great!Everything was clean and neat. The trash cans were still at the curb, so we brought those up. Not really a complaint, just a comment. Also just a comment, the house lights switches are in odd locations. At least four times every meal prep the lights in the kitchen would go out with someone trying to turn the lights in the den or dining room on or off. That's a livable issue.The only real complaint was the AC. The house has a massive open ceiling design over the living room but that means all of the warm air from the gound floor goes right upstairs. The ground floor would be 74 degrees and it would be 80 upstairs. Unfortunately, we only saw one thermostat - downstairs.But the thermostat was an Ecobee, the same one I have at home. They could easily remedy the problem by getting a couple of remote sensors for the system. It was the same in the apartment. The couple who stayed there said it had no air upstairs at all and that the downstairs vent MAY have not had it's own thermostat so was controlled by the one in the main house. Unable to confirm that last part.
