Beautiful cabin

The cabin was easy to access and had everything we needed. The pictures don’t do it justice. Massive fireplace was used during the snow and seasonably cold weather.

Great stay in the high country

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a great time during our stay. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with anything we needed during our stay. Lovely Cabin!

A nice, quaint cabin right on waterfront of small pond/lake. My wife and I enjoyed the woodfire fireplace (firewood, tools and essentials were provided for our stay) and king bed, as well as the cabin having basic essentials for cooking and coffee. Large windows allowing lots of sunlight and views were a favorite! Location is roughly equidistant from West Jefferson & Boone, with easy access to the parkway. Some things to note (from our perspective): - House number/home difficult to see (if arriving around or after dark) - Towels/linens & sheets are locally washed and remain at cabin, not a service provided for fresh towels - Upstairs shower does have dirt/mold on outside (as reported in other reviews) - Hot water can run out somewhat quickly in taking multiple showers. Overall an enjoyable experience and would look to rent again!

Amazing Mountain Getaway!

This home was perfect in every way! It was incredibly clean! Probably the cleanest home we have ever rented. Also loved that it allowed our family pets. The home was cozy with a great layout and huge wood burning fireplace. Stunning views and huge wrap around deck. Super comfortable king size bed and quality of the linens (bed sheets and towels) was appreciated and better than most we have experienced. The community was beautiful with a shared lake, places to sit and enjoy the lake view with a good book, picnic tables and gazebo. My husband enjoyed fishing in the lake - it’s practically in the backyard and a few minutes by car was a beautiful river perfect for fly fishing. We loved that there were paved roads to the home instead of gravel. It was only 20 minutes to Boone which was a bonus. Highly recommend!

Cute cabin

The cabin is precious from the outside, and in all fairness the inside is too if you can get passed the rotting wood and black mold growing on the logs in the downstairs bathroom and running into the laundry area. I contacted the manager and they were ALREADY AWARE so needless to say we checked out a day early and headed home. I sent two further emails that went without a response so I will be contacting them by phone for further questioning. The “lake” they speak of is merely a pond with newly stocked baby fish so if you’re coming to fish, go somewhere else. There is no exhaust fans in any of the bathrooms, so prepare for more moist wood smell that’s soaked in everyone’s smells through the years. Overall when we arrived, it was clean, minimal grit on the floors and very nicely dusted. If they are able to properly fix their problems with mold and water damage, we may would return at a later date.

Wonderful little gem

Lovely cabin mountain retreat. We were looking for a quiet fall fall mountain get a way. Enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the inside fireplace. Kitchen had all we needed, nice view of the lake through the trees. however, the bedrooms were not real inviting. The sheets were thin, worn and torn. The upstairs shower in master needs to have caulking and shower drain clean and caulking replaced because it contains black mold, health risk for anyone sensitive to mold. The instructions are to keep the shower door propped open because of this so the owners are aware of the issue but not addressing the problem.

Beautiful home in a peaceful setting

2 senior adults and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Allendale Log Cabin! Great for porch sitting listening to birds and walking the hills in the neighborhood or a stroll around the lake. Perfect vacation destination!

Great little cabin in a really nice neighborhood

The cabin is very charming and accommodating. It has a great view and it is well equipped . The neighborhood is really nice to walk around and enjoy the little lake. It is an older cabin but it is very clean. The shower upstairs is on the small side and the king bed mattress is soft. We had a great time with our family.

Weekend in the mountains

Beautiful cabin! Great for the whole family and pet friendly. The "lake" is more of a large pond but we still enjoyed swimming and fishing. Love the area around the cabin. Great for getting outdoors and exploring. Would visit again.

My husband and I loved our 4 night stay here over the memorial day weekend. The cabin was immaculate and very comfortable. We enjoyed mornings on the porch overlooking the community lake. Very quiet, well kept community. We would stay again. Master bed could use a new mattress, but otherwise very comfortable

Romantic getaway

The wife and our two little doggies desperately needed a last minute weekend get away and Allendale Log Cabin far exceeded our expectations. The moment we entered we felt like we had stepped into one of the pictures in a magazine of fire place cabin living. Everything was perfect, everyone...including the doggies.. were the most relaxed that we have been in the past two years. Not only do we highly recommend but we have absolutely decided on making this rental our escape place.

Cozy and comfy

We have visited Boone for years and this was our 2nd time spending Christmas week in area. The cabin was in a very cute community, quiet, pet friendly and very relaxing. The cabin itself had wonderful view and was very well equipped with anything you can think of. We cooked every meal and even hosted some friends for dinner that were visiting the area at the time. Of all the cabins we have stayed, this one was cute and the quality/price relation was the best. We are even considering visiting in he summer given the surroundings. You will be very pleased with this one!

Bathrooms were not good, not just outdated but moldy

Great neighborhood and awesome location. Nice pond in back of property. The bathrooms were not good and the kitchen was ok. The master bathroom shower was tiny and the door wouldn’t close. It was also moldy all along the door. Needs updating and the kitchen was adequate but needs work as well.

Beautiful Cabin

As mentioned in the title, this cabin is beautiful. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. We were pleased with the location and ease of access to the small lake. We were only there for a quick weekend getaway so we didn’t get to explore too much. Our lab loved the lake and the river/creek located at the entrance of the community. Once you get back to the main road, the grocery store, fast food restaurants, and gas stations are only a 6.5 mile drive away. We have already decided that we will be renting this cabin again when we come back.

A quiet retreat

Awesome stay in a pretty cabin

Property was great. Lots of outdoor space, beautiful fire pit and it all felt secluded. Coffee in the morning on the back porch listening to the birds was especially nice. It was the perfect getaway for my family of four.
