The cabin is suitable for renting to 2-3 families or for a company. The cabin is unobtrusively located, with a good view and a good distance to other cabins in the area.
"The stable" is a modern cabin with a floor area of 100 m2. as well as a 2nd floor of 35 m2. The cabin is located at 525 m.a.s.l. on Blefjell in Flesberg municipality in Numedal, only 1.5-2 hours drive from both Oslo, Larvik or Skien. Our own family uses the cabin quite a bit, but it is rented out for weekends/weeks and holidays.
The "stable" consists of an approx. 150-year-old hand-laminated nostalgic log living room, which has become today's living room. This is combined with a newly built, modern and airy extension. The cabin contains a windbreak, 5 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and jacuzzi, 2 toilets and a small loft living room. The loft living room is particularly pleasant and warm. It contains a large corner sofa, a smaller seating area, wood burning stove, an open natural stone fireplace, antique furniture and a 40" flat screen.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped. It is high and airy with an open gable, and it contains a massive dining table with 12 chairs, as well as old antique farmhouse furniture. From the dining area there is a great view of the mountains and the village, and the kitchen is heated by heating cables, plus a heat pump, as well as a large, efficient wood-burning stove. The cabin has a high standard with satellite TV with many channels, DVD, radio/CD, large jacuzzi for 2+2, and a well-equipped kitchen. There is no Wifi at the cabin, but very good 4G coverage, both Telenor and NetCom. Large terrace with charcoal grill, fire pit, solid rustic cabin furniture, as well as climbing trees with rope, swing and ladder for the children. Good sledding opportunities around the cabin.
A short drive to a great newly opened swimming facility at Lampeland. There you will also find Kiwi and Rema 1000 open on Sundays. It is only 2 km. to Blestua, a mountain lodge with all rights. They have good and affordable home-cooked food, do catering, and can deliver food to the cabin.
Both firewood and electricity are included in the cabin rent.
Unfortunately, check-in or check-out is not possible on Saturdays.
It is okay to bring a dog, but the cabin is non-smoking. There is a high degree of fire safety there, with series-connected smoke detectors in all rooms, as well as a fire escape. The cabin is fully heated when the guests arrive. Welcome to you all.
