Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Birgelen escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen feet can be a side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce your risk.
