Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Con Sum could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
