What to wear on a flight:

• The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.

• First things first. Your passport and travel documents will need to be shown to security personnel. Have them easily accessible so you don't have to dig around for them.
