Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Hevel Modiin vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Don layers of natural fibers and take a pullover just in case you get chilly. Opt for flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy boots in your checked luggage.
- Most travelers are aware of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to mitigate your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks, drink lots of water often and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk the aisles of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
