We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and seeing the best of Mayran in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
