We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and discovering Pak Phun in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
