Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to San Marco could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you hop off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight is as simple as your choice of clothing. Prepare yourself for varying temperatures by layering up. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin begins to cool down. Shoes like stilettos, flip flops and lace-up boots are best left for other occasions. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you later.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
