Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Tsushima could be completely painless or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
