Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Tutume escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing flight experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, take on board items that'll help pass the time, like your laptop or a thrilling book. It's also wise to bring your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Finally, be sure to toss in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
