"We were able to upgrade our room to a beach view when we got there for a small fee which we were happy about. My friend has stayed at this place before though and our room was not as nice as some of the other ones she said. The bedding was stained so we got out the other comforter in the closet and that one was stained too. The room felt less unkept and maintained than other rooms and that was noted in the bathroom as the wallpaper was pieced together and peeling in many spots. The breakfast being delivered was nice and the view was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness/upkeep of the place took away from the overall experience. We would stay here again as overall it was a good experience. We just would like to see more upkeep in the cleanliness and maintenance of the place!"

"This property is very cute and the staff were super accommodating. The downsides though are that there is no access to the docks directly outside the rooms which I found quite sad, there is a small beach for water access which is convenient it’s just not very convenient if you rent kayaks and have to lug them all the way over. Another downside is not every room has a kitchen which my husband and I didn’t realize before booking, so we made due with the microwave and toaster. When we first arrived in the room we were met with a half used roll of toilet paper and maybe two towels, thankfully when I spoke to the lodge they provided plenty of extra toilet paper and towels for our 3 week stay. It’s definitely a cute lodge to spend some time at, our room was just a bit underwhelming when we first arrived but we ended up having a nice time in the area checking out different festivals and visiting traverse city."

"No breakfast of hot foods Checking charged and extra 30 dollars for before 4 o’clock. I had called the day before to ask if I could check in early and they did not inform me of the extra charge Rooms need painting, no counter space in bathrooms, and I asked for a handicapped room and they had a regular bathtub, no walkin All in all I would never recommend this place"
