“Slightly Off Center- Sun” is named just that for its prime location next to Center Street - the hub of Folly's great shopping and dining. From here you can walk to EVERYTHING in downtown Folly including coffee shops, surf shops, Bert's Market, and local dining favorites like the Lost Dog Café, Taco Boy or Rita's! Only two blocks to the beach, close to the newly renovated Folly Beach Pier.

Great property, great location. We were able to walk everywhere in under 5 minutes- the beach and numerous restaurants. 20 minute drive in to Charleston for the Aquarium and some shopping. Would definitely book again!

Decent stay but false advertising

The place was nice and in a great location but my friends and I booked this location because of the advertised “heated pool”. I stated to the listing company on multiple occasions about the importance of said heated pool before our arrival and was assured it was in working order.Once we arrived we quickly realized the pool was in fact not heated. So I contacted the listing company who then proceeded to tell me that the heater was “malfunctioning” and because our check in was at 4 and the offices closed at 5 for the weekend there was very little they could do. It turns out that the pool heater needed a new part and that they were unable to heat the pool for any of the duration of our stay. They offered us a small refund in return for the inconvenience which just felt like a bandaid as opposed to trying to find a solution for us. And to make matters worse no refund was ever received. So while the house itself was nice and I a great location, we felt a bit mislead, deceived and ignored by the listing company. Just keep that in mind while booking through them.

Awesome property and management company!

Loved the property and communication with the management team. “Whole house” was not necessarily accurate, as it was a duplex and we definitely heard our neighbors 24/7. Also, the property sits right behind the worst restaurant in Folly, and their trash area is horrid and somewhat unbearable during the day.

Lovely Stay

We needed a place to relocate until the construction on our condo was completed. We made a great decision. Sun was very nice home. The best was the back yard. Pool spectacular. Noisy outside in the evening but quiet in the home.

Perfect…except…

The home was lovely!! Love the outdoor courtyard and pool. But the couches were so worn down made it very uncomfortable and upstairs all three bedrooms were miserable. AC wouldn’t cool below 82. That really needs to be fixed. Otherwise very close to awesome restaurants and the beach!!

Perfect every time!

I love it then these houses are available when I travel to Charleston for business. These houses are spotless and perfectly stocked with everything I always need. My black lab loves it there too. Perfect location and easy and very short walk to the beach and great restaurants and nightly music. The check in process and communication is top notch. Highly recommend!!! I’ll be back!

Loved our stay!

We loved the house! However it was missing a few things. It would be nice if there was more mirrors. There was only mirrors in the bathrooms so getting ready with 8 people was pretty challenging. Also a full length mirror would be helpful. And a bottle opener.

Pleasant stay in Folly Beach for the holidays

The condo was beautiful, very clean and met all of our needs. Due to the extreme cold (19*) we had questions about the heating and we got an immediate response and a visit on Christmas Eve to make sure we found the space heaters. We had everything we needed in the condo. I only wish it was a little warmer outside so we could take advantage of the heated pool and patio. The only drawback was the 2am noise from the the restaurants and bars on Folly Road but didn’t last long. If you want to be close to the action, this is a choice location. Loved Folly Beach and hope to visit again in warmer weather. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic Find on Folly!

Chic-beach decor, comfy beds and sofas, beautiful electronics and applicances, convenient location, nifty pool, AND pet friendly.....just about perfect! We usually stay on the beach a bit further east, but unless you pay $2.5K-$3K+ per night, you're sacrificing something (freshness, appointments, non-pet friendly, etc.) This beautiful 4-year-old house is very well constructed and maintained; it's steps off of Center St. and 2 short blocks to the beach. We were never aware that it was a duplex (no "neighbor noise"). We will definitely rent here and from Luxury Simplified Resorts again!

Prefect spring break getaway

We really enjoyed our first visit to Folly Beach. The property was as listed and a great location to the beach, bars and restaurants. Clean, spacious rooms and a great first floor with large family room and kitchen. The pool was perfect for our group, they heated before we arrived and used several times during our stay. Loved the trip, would stay here again.

Family enjoyed the beautifully decorated place and the private dipping pool. It is close to the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking. Not far from Charleston for some fun shopping and additional restaurants.

Very unclean

I really wanted to like this property. The kitchen is pretty and the splash pool is cute. However, it is not clean. We pay quite a premium to stay, and a pet fee. The house had dog pee everywhere. I took some pictures because I was so disgusted with the fact that they allow animals, but do not clean up after the animals. Clearly a boy dog had stayed right before us and marked everywhere. It was gross. Plus, and worse, there's roaches everywhere. Not palmetto bugs from the palm trees, just roaches from the place not being cleaned well. There were everywhere in my bedroom and it was so gross that we didn't sleep there the last night. We made other arrangements. You are right next to the dumpster from the neighboring restaurant, and the restaurant doesn't close the lid. The flies and the smell is bad and you really are uncomfortable being outside and using the pool. The owners should make arrangements with the restaurant to close the lid at the least. Housekeeping came at 8:20am the day we were leaving and wanted to start and acted like we were inconveniencing them to tell them we'd leave by 10am. We didn't even sleep there, we were just packing up our stuff we left. Honestly, I wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone. At a minimum, the owners need a pest control company and a real cleaning company to fix the dog marked issue

Great spot, right in the middle of everything!!

We really enjoyed our 5-day vacation in Folly Beach at Slightly of Center - Sun condo. Unit was perfect, clean, had everything we needed, and centrally located within walking distance to everything. Will definitely be booking again in the near future!

Gorgeous But....

This property is really gorgeous and the pool is awesome and everything you could possibly want is inside, kitchen stocked, well laid out with plenty of space, very comfortable beds. Only issues are that this particular unit backs up to a bar and the only views out of the bedroom windows are of the dumpsters. Not sure there is anything to be done about this but it is kind of loud at night and the dumpsters are serviced very early the next morning. There is also only one TV and there are only the very basic channels. So if anyone would like to watch ESPN or a particular channel, you should bring other options to watch. Another small issue is that the AC will only set to 70 degrees. A unit at the beach in SC in August should allow us to cool a little more. It was very hot and uncomfortable sleeping. I will say that I did make a few texts to the rental management property and they were very nice and accommodating and had fantastic response time and sent someone out to change the filters which helped a tad. Because this unit is part of a complex, I would definitely return but might stay in one of the other to avoid the view. On the plus side - our dog LOVED it!!! Thanks for renting to our furry family members!
