Estupendo

La Mas es una propiedad ubicada entre lujo supremo y tranquilidad cultivada. Tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar nuestra boda con familia y amigos en la Mas. An Idyllic Setting!

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with all 19 of our family at the spectacularly beautiful Mas Torroella. It was a delightful, enjoyable experience for all, ages 4 to 78. Our nine grandchildren and their parents loved both the indoor and outdoor pools, the beautiful lawns where they could play frisbee and soccer, the basketball and tennis courts, outdoor table tennis, and a playground (my husband and I enjoyed all these facilities as well). The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful to us. They prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners in the large indoor dining room and on the lovely terrace under umbrellas. Sylvia, the owner, is so gracious and welcoming. She has paid attention to every detail, selection of fabrics, choice of colors, thoughtful provision of outdoor blankets for the possibility of a chilly evening, and so much more. Terraces were beautifully landscaped with white petunias and bordered by gorgeous blue Russian Sage. Gorgeous sunsets, even a full moon, and a peak at the Mediterranean from the second story terrace of our bedroom. We took several days trips to the nearby, beautiful Costa Brava beaches and excellent restaurants, but we were always delighted to return to beautiful Mas Torroella.

Breathtaking masia

Wow ..... is the only place to begin. The masia, the owners, the staff, the grounds, the surrounding landscape are all equally exquisite. The inside of the masia has been renovated in the most considered fashion, allowing for the old to blend perfectly with the new. On previous occasions we have rented villas that look impressive in the photographs only to find the pictures were taken some 10 years ago and the building is in desperate need of repair. This is not true of this villa, I would go as far as to say it is even more impressive than the website photographs. We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding here during our stay, on that day we saw a beautiful home become the most stunning venue. I could not recommend it more as an occasion venue or as a holiday villa.

The Most Amazing Villa - EVER!

OUTSTANDING is the only word to describe our experience at this Villa! Most of the time when you review images of a property on-line the pictures are better on-line than in person...but this was NOT the case with this property. This property exceeded our expectations beyond belief! If you like the photos on-line...you'll absolutely LOVE this property. It has a walk-in minibar with a hundred bottles of local wines, snacks, sodas, etc. We hosted a family group of 23 people and it never felt crowded. The owners of the Villa, Silvia and Joseph were so welcoming and helpful. The on-property staff is fantastic...we had them cook (4) separate dinners for our group and they did and outstanding job! 5-Star Experience! I've had the opportunity to stay at some of the top hotels in the world...the Peninsula in Hong Kong, the Dorchester in London, Mombo Camp in Botswana...and this property is at an equal level to all of them! Highly, Highly Recommend!

A paradise, a dream, a jaw-dropping villa!!!

These are the only words we ourselves and our guests have used and are still using after staying for 3 days only at Mas Torroella for our intimate wedding celebration. From the moment you arrive at the villa up until the minute you drive out of the gates it feels like everything is unreal. You would think that the photos are great and that the villa is luxury, but until the moment you step into the hallway and start walking through the ground floor, you will never ever realise how beautiful, extraordinary and cosy this villa is. It is full of love, care and Silvia (the owner) has most definitely left her heart there, it just feels like that throughout all of the floors. The feeling of space and complete seclusion is just unbelievable there. No pictures can reproduce the scale of it. The birds, the flowers, the smell of freshly baked bread delivered every morning, the sunsets.... We had our wedding at Mas Torroella, and I don't think I can even express the emotions we have experienced during the day. It was a DREAM! Silvia was the most helpful, caring and going the extra mile host we have ever come across. The day was just perfect: all the decorations, the altar, the flowers, the dinner setting, the outdoor space, the night lights, the atmosphere... We will never be able to express our gratitude! If you are looking for a jaw-dropping wedding venue, for a secluded luxury retreat or just a place to have a splendid time with your friends or family (including wide range of facilities for kids) - Mas Torroella is definitely a place to go.

Unbelievable!!

Wow, what a vacation and memories we have from our stay! Mas Torroella has been meticulously restored and modernized to provide the highest level of comfort to its guests. The owner, Silvia, was a very gracious and responsive host. One of the best memories was the initial tour of the estate - which far exceeded the expectations set by the pictures. The meal service, the fully stocked pantry, the multiple swimming pools, the expansive grounds, the well appointed rooms, everything exceeded my expectations. Silvia, you have done an excellent restoring the family vacation home. Your passion and dedication to detail shines through and results in an unforgettable vacation. Thank you!

Beautiful villa with spacious outdoor areas

To start with the conclusion - we had a fantastic stay at Mas Torroella and we all highly recommend it for larger groups or extended families who would like a luxury vacation at the Costa Brava coast. We decided there and then that we want to come back. We were 6 families who travelled down from Norway (11 adults and 9 kids), excited on what would await us when we arrived. Pictures and description on the web had built up our expectations. After staying a week we can honestly say that the actual experience is even better! The house is located 4km up in the hills from Palafrugell. The road condition is a bit rough, so leave the sports car at home. The house and property is huge. We found it so satisfactory to have ample space, so all parties in the group could find a place and something to do without it feeling crowded. The WiFi works all over, but note that the mobile signals are very weak. But who has time for mobile when staying in place like this? We also appreciated that the staff kept the house and garden in perfect condition every day. They were kind, professional and always ready to help us. Fresh bread was brought to us every morning. The kitchen is equipped with what you need to make food for many people, and had of course double of everything (dishwasher, cooker, fridge, freezer etc). This is the best kitchen we have worked in. If we should suggest one improvement it would be a good set of knives. Indoor spa, outdoor pool, large outdoor areas, tennis court, table tennis, playground etc. This provided everybody with the chance to engage in activities. Our hostess, Silvia has been great to cooperate with. Before, during and after the stay, she has been accessible and has provided all the information we have needed. Together with her husband Josep, she provided us with a thorough walk-through the house with so much history and so many amazing details. Thank you for a truly memorable stay.

Relaxing Luxury Getaway in the heart of Costa Brav

Planning an international vacation can be difficult and stressful, especially when you're renting a house sight unseen, in a place you've never been to before! However, Silvia was great and really made the planning experience quite easy. She always responded to emails promptly and addressed any and all of my questions or concerns. She gave me info on what to do in the area, info on taxi/car services, additional pictures upon request, etc, etc. She was very friendly but also very professional. If you're worried at all about doing an international transaction with her - don't be! She's a very honest, heartfelt woman and her villa is... AMAZING. We were a big family group of 21 people and the house was perfect for us! We've rented houses before that have claimed to be "luxury" but were run down and old. Mas Torroella is NOT like that. It is a true luxury villa! Everything inside is modern, new and well kept. As beautiful as the pictures in this listing are, they don't show the true beauty of the property. It is 100x more beautiful than what is shown. It will take your breath away. From the people (Silvia, Joseph and the grounds crew) to the place - Mas Torroella is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway in the heart of Costa Brava.

A true hidden gem in Costa Brava

Nothing like home is the first thing that comes to my mind when I head out to stay somewhere, and that is the case 99% of the time. Luckily Mas Torroella is in that 1% that truly makes you feel as comfortable or even more than your own home. It gives you the feeling of having everything you need, with a thousand small details that comfort you and make you feel so at home that you wish your vacations would never end. It is in the middle of beautiful unique scenery providing the calmness and relaxation that come from being in nature and at the same time with the freshness of being just 10 minutes away from the sea. We have been coming and staying for many years on the Costa Brava, Palafrugell and its surroundings and without a doubt Mas Torroella is the most special place we have ever been. It is comfortable, enjoyable, nostalgic, romantic and much more, with everything that you would ever need to feel at home and achieve a feeling of relaxation, peace and harmony. If I had to describe Mas Torroella in a few words I would say that it is a castle for the young ones, a romantic paradise for couples and a palace for everyone else.

If you have ever dreamed of being able to vacation in ultimate luxury you have found your destination at Mas Torroella. Mas Torroella provides you with privacy and a superb location to explore Costa Brava from Barcelona to southern France, and the many gorgeous beach towns that dot the coast line in between. Rent a car and see all the area has to offer. We are a group of friends (6 couples) that travel the world together and I research, plan and coordinate all our trips. I have to tell you that we have been to many amazing destinations and always stay in Luxury accommodations. Mas Torroella tops the list. Why this villa tops our list: *The house and guest house size: Spacious and luxuriously decorated. Complete privacy for each guest with beautiful guest rooms and en suite bathrooms complete with welcome basket of Soaps, Shampoos and lotion. Huge living room/gathering areas on both the main and second level of the main house, (and also a Billiard room) yet intimate areas for conversation. Wonderful Kitchen to cook in with a breakfast nook (we have outstanding chefs that are part of our travel group) and a dinning room table comfortable for 18 guests. The Kitchen has a 20 foot sliding glass door wall that opens to the dining patio. The Indoor Heated Pool and Sauna Serene, tranquil and a decadent indulgence to be able to have this inside your private home. (Think Celebrity status amazing) Complete with changing rooms and showers. The Outdoor Space Grand, manicured spaces with a large dining and lounging area complete with BBQ and Sound system Stunning outdoor heated pool with two separate lounge areas and a shower for rinsing off after your dip in the large heated outdoor pool The expansive outdoor space is absolute perfection for dinning, and lounging with more than ample room for wedding receptions or corporate events. If you are looking to entertain to impress, look no further. There are even bathroom facilities in the garden area for when you are hosting events outside. The grounds also have private tennis courts and outdoor table tennis, not to mention a playground for the children. Amazing high standard villa with great facilities

We recently stayed in Mas Torroella for a family reunion of 20 people and it was a perfect villa for the holiday. It has fantastic facilities - pools, bbq area, lounges, outdoor areas and each of the bedrooms and bathrooms are unique and tastefully designed and decorated, as is the entire villa. The villa is family owned and they are extremely friendly and helpful and want to ensure guests enjoy the stay. The location is also quite private and exclusive and perfect for exploring the Costa Brava, Overall the villa is even better than the pictures show. Our group incorporated a wide range of ages and everyone from youngest to oldest really enjoyed their stay. Would highly recommend.
