Great place for a trip to the region.

Excellent house where we stayed with 2 families for 3 days. The overall lay-out suited us very well, and the living room with a piano, a fire place, and no TV made a wonderful change to a typical evening at home.

Gorgeous Family Getaway

What a great weekend, a fabulous location, right near all that Forrest has to offer. We rode our bikes, ate at the Brewery and enjoyed the gorgeous accommodation. It had everything a family needs. No TV but that ended up being a blessing in disguise. We took our little fur baby as well and she loved the big yard.

The house itself was amazing - interesting to look at and I felt a little bit special to be able to stay there. It was so comfortable and warm, everywhere! The kitchen was friendly to use, plenty of room to move and meant we didn't need to forage out of doors. Everything was easy - chopping wood, having a shower, going to bed, cooking dinner, beds were comfortable and warm. It was a great place to catch up (and everyone thinks I'm pretty good at finding such a great place to stay, but you deserve that credit!)

Otway delight

Fabulous unique and interesting cottage in the heart of Forrest. From when we booked, to our departure, Fleur could not have been more helpful as a host. It had all the amenities we needed for a great weekend away with the girls. Walking distance to the pub, the brewery, the general store, platypi chocolate and many of the beautiful Otway trails for walking or riding. We also booked a platypus evening tour to Lake Elizabeth which was well worth it. Highly recommend Otway Loft for a trip away.

Forest Loft is great

The loft is unique well appointed accommodation. Everything was pretty seamless really. The kids spent about an hour looking for a hidden TV (I let them . knew there wasn’t one which is a big positive)

Beautiful house in a great location.

Myself and 5 friends have recently enjoyed a fabulous weekend staying in Otways Loft. This house is just as described, in fact even better! It is a unique collection of repurposed building materials, a thoughtful and clever mix of retro and vintage furniture that combine to make for a very cool pad. Every room has it own unique charm with beautiful natural light and very comfortable beds. The house was beautifully presented and equiped with everything from Kitchen Aid to board games , you won't want for anything. If you don't feel like cooking the house is a short walk to the local Brewery, Bespoke Restaurant and the General store all of which we tried and would highly recommend. We did make use of the bikes which was great but, they where in need of a little TLC, so if you are a keen mountain biker you would want to bring your own. Thank you Fleur for sharing your Forrest treasure. I will definitely be back, next time with husband and kids in tow.

We found Otway Loft so beautiful and relaxing! Everything we needed was supplied, from great coffee, plenty of wood for the fire & even our dog was thought of with treats waiting on her outside bed on arrival! Quality local products were used throughout the property, which smelled divine and the linen was 5 star hotel standard. Located close to so many beautiful spots to explore, or to read a book inside, we felt so comfortable for our entire trip. Fleur’s communication was excellent and provided all the information needed for such a wonderful break. Thank you for a lovely, memorable stay

Fantastic property. We loved our stay. It was right on the edge of many walks and not too far to travel to others. Shops are limited so take what you will need food wise but afew take away options and a pub also. The peace and quiet was wonderful

A perfect salve

We stayed at the loft for over 2 weeks. It was the perfect salve after the year that was 2020 within a friendly local community. We made the 35 minute drive to Skenes for a wave almost daily, and enjoyed many a day trip further afield. Lots of bush and waterfall walking. The rustic house with its vintage decor felt a little luxurious with lovely linen and super comfy beds. We enjoyed the great oven and kitchen set-up (with teapot which is always a nice touch), terrific shower and wood fire. The pantry was generously stocked with many basic items. Joyous birdlife and noisy possums were totally welcome. Determined mozzies hampered our ability to exploit more fully, the rambling garden setting and deck, but the balcony was the perfect spot to sit under a starlit sky. A great start to our year.

A memorable experience - highly recommend!

A very memorable experience - the house was quirky and interesting as well as being comfortable and quite luxurious. The bath in the upstairs bedroom is so relaxing because you can see out over greenery and hear the rain on the tin roof. Great kitchen for cooking too. Our kids loved playing and using their imaginations there - a very inspiring place to stay!

Wonderful stay

We stayed as two families to enjoy the mountain biking around Forrest. The house was very clean and had everything we needed including some children's toys and books. Lots of space for both our young families and fantastic location in Forrest. Walking distance for the kids to the shop, us to the pub and down to the river and biking tracks. We had some vehicle breakdown issues and Fleur went above and beyond to help us. Would highly recommend.

Amazing!!

Amazing architectural feat (much of which is constructed with authentic old train features) set upon sprawling garden with huge trees and a hammock as the icing on the cake! Beautiful & super comfortable accommodation with every convenience attended to. Very late checkout was granted (at no extra cost to us!), to accomodate those of us participating in local cycling event. Wouldn't stay anywhere else for future visits to Forrest!! Great location for a girls weekend

We loved the loft house! It was perfect to catch up with friends over a glass of wine next to a cosy wood heater. The kitchen is so well set up. The beds are comfy and rooms so thoughtfully decorated. Loved the shower too. Fleur’s communication was great before and during our stay. Even though it rained most of the weekend we could easily walk around town ducking into the retro second hand shop, jewellery gallery, op shop, general store and art studio. The dinner and beer tasting at the Brewery was fun. Thanks for letting us stay.

Relaxing stay in Forrest

What an amazing property!! So much character, charm and uniqueness. We had a wonderful time enjoying the local beauty of the Otways, and loved coming “home” to the loft. Such a homely, welcoming place to stay. Thank you Fleur for making our stay so memorable.
