Fabulous location ; nice home

Great location right on a coastal bluff. Kitchen supplies for guests are the most extensive I’ve seen (coffee bean grinder, food processor, etc)

great spot

overall seemed expensive at first, but once arriving it was a fantastic property. Clean, comfortable, priceless privacy, quiet, awesome views, and the outdoor jacuzzi was wonderful for getting the kinks out. look forward to staying there again if in the area.

Home with a view

Incredible views of the sunset and the waves crashing. Right next door to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens! The kitchen was fabulous!!!

Great oceanfront house

This was perfect home for 2 with excellent oceanfront views. The sounds of the ocean from the bedroom window were perfection. We enjoyed the hot tub as well and was a great way to start and end the day. Excellent amenities and we didn’t need anything except the groceries we bought. We’ll be back for sure.

Very nice property

The only criticism is the size of the shower. It's very small, maybe 32" x 32" or 36" x 36". Didn't bother me, but my wife had difficulty.

Our Third Time staying here

This offers everything you need. The kitchen has all that you may need. It is very peaceful. You fall asleep listening to the Ocean. There is a hot tub available. We have never used it. The only prob.em we hac was using the code to open the door. I suggest they install a new one that wor,ks better.

Beautiful Ocean View

My husband & I spent a decadent 10 days which included New Years. It stormed and rained the majority of the time. This house overlooks the ocean. It was hypnotizing watching the ocean waves during the storms and rain. We did lose power a few times but briefly. The gas fireplace kept us warm and toasty. The kitchen table worked out perfect for my jigsaw puzzle.

Wonderful retreat

Excellent property with wonderful view. Quiet and peaceful. Loved the hot tub. The house was ideal, well-stocked! A minor point was that the lack of light bulbs for various table lamps. Several were out and we couldn't find replacement bulbs. Made reading a challenge. Other than that, it was the perfect place for us!

Great Ocean Getaway

This was our second stay at the Tideaway house and both times have been great experiences. The location cannot be beat, right on the ocean and located in a relaxing little working coastal town. Fort Bragg does not live or die on tourists alone and that means there is a different feel to the town than other places along the west coast. As for the Tideaway, the view is incredible. It rained the first two days we were there and we didn't care because that meant we got to watch the storms float in over the water and experience the ocean in a way you seldom do unless you are fortunate to be at a place like the Tideaway where you can stay in comfort. We'll be back.

Beautiful views but needs maintenance

The views are beautiful and the location is very quiet and private. However, the home is not being maintained and updated in accordance with the prices being charged per night. The listing doesn’t tell you the two stairways down to the beach are both broken and taped off with caution tape. Also doesn’t tell you the only bedroom provided is one of three and has a window right next to the trash cans.

Quite possibly THE Best

In my 30+ years of renting homes on the coast (long before there was a Vacasa or VRBO presence here) this MAY be the best house I've stayed at. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals, which is not always the case. It felt like you had access to all the first rate items, and were not relegated to the use of just the "hand-me-downs". There was more than enough living area and seating for the maximum quest occupancy of 4 - I seriously doubt this house is only 1300 sq. ft. - it seemed much larger. The location is fantastic, very private and secluded due to the large property and grounds. This is a great house and it is fortunate that the owners have made their home available for others to share. We will definitely be back

A view of the tides from your pillow

What a gorgeous home and site on the coast. We loved the views, the sounds, the comfy furniture. We were treated to sunsets, lightning, rain and sun rays and could choose our perfect perches inside or out. The kitchen was fully equipped which made cooking fun, but if I had one suggestion it would be for more lighting in the kitchen. Old eyes like mine had to grab the flashlight a couple of times to figure out the stove controls or other things. But everything was there! A great house.

Wonderful view and a comfortable home

Location of this home is hard to beat. access down to the tide pools is the key; however, consider the stairs does not go all the way down so some down climbing is needed. The spotting scope was a great! we were able to spot some whales miles off shore. The house was clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to made great meals. The bed was comfortable consider we normally sleep on relative stiff setup at home. we did bring our own pillows. The front garden is very nice. The only complaints were the back screen door as mentioned in other reviews. please, fix this so no bugs flies in while we allow the nice sea breeze through the house. there is no other back window can be open other than in the bedroom. The shower is small and tight with a big shower head. Maybe a removable handheld showerhead? Also, if you have any issue, it's best to contact the local manager via the text message. the Vacasa 800 number operator is not the best for help. use the text number they provide you.

Fantastic Views

Home was very clean. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans/plates/glasses/utensils. Fantastic views! Hot tub was excellent! Front yard garden was beautiful! Previous reviews are correct, the mattress is on the soft side, however I don't think it's old, I think it's just a soft mattress. Bring your own pillows. Shower is small, shower head is too big for the small shower and therefore sprays against the opposite wall and not down on your head. It's a hand held shower head and you have to hold it to shower.

Perfect Location

This home is perfectly situated at the end of a private road, right on the cliff’s edge. There are wonderful views out of the wall to wall back windows. The kitchen is very nice and (refreshingly) well stocked with quality dishes and cooking utensils, etc. The main living area is very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The only thing that keeps us from giving the home 5 stars is that the bed and bedding (pillows!) are in need of replacement.

Loved the awesome view !! Everything was awesome!! Will come back again... only thing was the mattress should be replaced. Slider was worrisome but that’s ok because we had an wonderful time and will be back in the future.. thanks
