“Overpriced substandard facilities. Freezing cold bedroom. Ugly architecture, dark and dingy. Dirty dark and cold bathroom. Window stained with dead bugs and dust. No heaters to compensate. Very depressing. No hot water. We were forced to to ask them to boil water and put it into buckets in order to wash ourselves by using an empty margarine container. Unheard of when we have paid £900 to be in this tacky facility worthy of a YMCA student accommodation Location of the property is very bad.……

“Great stay - clean tent, good food, fantastic staff, in the park so zebras on the doorstep! The only issues were that a) the bathrooms have no doors - which isnt good when you are 3 friends staying in 1 room - and there is a doorframe so goodness knows why there are no doors! And b) there was a grass fire which came very near the hotel and there was zero comminication about whether we were safe or not - simply saying "it will be fine" doesnt really do anything to reassure guests who arent used……

“We actually stayed at the sister camp Serengeti Safari Lodge because of an upgrade. We had a tented cabin with a nice bathtub, separate shower, nice comfy bed tented with a mosquito net. We could see some game from our balcony and could see the sunrise from our bed, Which made our stay an unforgettable experience. The staff is very kind and attentive. We booked the game drives with the Lodge and it was a wonderful experience. ”

“Asanja Moru has been around for 9 years is a lovely property. I really like the location in the western part of the Serengeti, it is green and lush and beautifully serene. The camp is charming and the staff are all incredibly good at what they do. There are 2 full time chefs and they prepare the most delicious meals, as good or better than what you could find in an upscale NYC restaurant.
