Exactly what we needed beautiful view, clean, quiet, peaceful. Perfect little getaway! The Bear Necessities Cabin is the cutest! It has lots of special touches and is very comfortable. It’s brand new and really clean and well laid out. We will definitely stay here again!

Serene Cabin with best view of the sunset

We used this site quite abit and this is one of the best places we ever booked. Top notch amenities and the owners provide you with so much and more. The cabin is located in a very quiet and serene place overlooking Fort Payne. We loved sitting in the hot tub taking it all in. We had plans to do things in the area but cancelled over half of them because we enjoyed just being at this cabin. From the views to the furniture (reclining couch and very comfy bed) to amenities galore. We would definitely book again when in the area or just needing a quiet body and mind recharging place to stay for a few days.

Incredibly Relaxing

Such a wonderful property - so peaceful and secluded. We enjoyed everything about the cabin - the games, the hot tub, watching movies and watching the three deer that grazed all afternoon around the cabin! Will certainly return.

Absolutely stunning views!

Absolutely stunning views! We were blown away. It was breathtaking to come outside to this view every morning and watch the sunrise and sunset. Honestly even for that reason alone, this cabin is an absolute must. Kitchen was very well stocked, we had everything we needed. The hot tub was wonderful as well. The cabin was very clean, and the bear theme was super cute. The surrounding area was also great, you’re basically staying within a state park so there is tons of beautiful scenery to see within 15 min drive either direction. Misti was wonderful, communication was great, and she was very sweet. You can tell how much she cares about her properties!

It could not have been more perfect!

From the moment we arrived it was just breathtaking views. Going inside and Wow! This is just the cutest place ever! Everything was directing your stay toward comfort and a peaceful environment. It was spectacularly decorated in keeping with the cabin feel but also luxurious! Everything was so well thought out. I mean everything. The coffee in the morning and hot tub in the evening watching the most wonderful sunsets was magical. We couldn't have asked for anything else to make our 40th wedding anniversary more special. Along with all the extra goodies that made us and our stay special. We love it and can't wait to go back. Thank you to the Frost family for sharing your beautiful home. And a special thank you to Misti and the love care team! ❤️ wish we could make it more than 5 stars!

Absolutely breathtaking!

If you’re lucky enough to stumble upon this place, don’t hesitate. Tucked away at the very top of the mountain, this little getaway feels like a secret slice of peace & beauty. The views? Absolutely breathtaking. You can see everything—rolling hills, distant valleys, endless sky. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop & just breathe it all in. The cabin itself was perfectly cozy, with the cutest bear-themed decor that gave it a warm, welcoming charm. Every little detail was thought through & it all added to the peaceful, secluded atmosphere we were craving. It was exactly what we needed: quiet, beautiful, & grounding. We left feeling rested & full of gratitude. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reset.

Beautiful Setting on Brow of Lookout Mtn

This cabin checked all of our boxes and made for a very comfortable stay. Had a lot of amenities and unexpected extras. Located on the same road with the entrance to DeSoto Park. We had a very relaxing and peaceful vacation here.

Can't say enough about how awesome our visit was. From the minute we walked in and my wife remarking how clean the place looked AND smelled, to the outstanding view, and even covered parking for my 3/4 ton pickup!!

Soak Up the View

...cannot say enough about the view from the hottub. After a long day of hiking the local nature features, the hottub provides the perfect winddown as you soak away the soreness and soak in the views. House is nice and neat , checkin simple leaving it behind was hard lok

Perfect!

This little cabin was perfect for me and my 2 kids, 11 and 12. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. Misti was super responsive and offered restaurant suggestions (The Hatter Cafe and Wildflower Cafe were fantastic). We especially enjoyed the sunset view from the hot tub each evening. The beds were extremely comfortable! We would like to come back in the summer or fall to see the colors.

Perfect little getaway

We loved everything about this cabin. Beautiful, quaint, and perfectly located on the brow of the mountain! The bedding and towels smelled so fresh and clean, the two mini-split air units kept the entire space warm and cozy, and the welcome basket was a nice surprise! We will definitely be back!
