We were extremely disappointed with this property and, unfortunately, we ended up leaving after the first night to stay in a hotel.The home is much older and more worn than the listing suggests. The upstairs bedrooms have no actual doors—only shower curtains—which offers virtually no privacy. Much of the furniture appeared heavily used, with stained upholstery and a mismatched collection of furnishings that gave the home a neglected feel rather than a thoughtfully furnished cozy vacation rental.Cleanliness was also a concern. We found two dead cockroaches during our stay.The décor felt very unusual and, at times, distracting. There is an enormous mirror permanently attached to the staircase railing, a very large framed picture hanging over part of the railing, artificial "selfie wall" greenery, flashing lights at the bottom of the stairs, and a fireplace that appears to have been sealed over with what looked like adhesive shelf liner or vinyl. Another fireplace is simply a small LED unit that resembles a television.We selected this property expecting a cozy place, but it did not meet those expectations. The condition, cleanliness, and overall presentation were disappointing enough that we chose to check out early and book hotel rooms instead. Ask the host for a photo of the exterior of the house. That says it all! We do NOT recommend this property or this host.
