“We received a corner room, the thermostat didn't work, it didn't let us heat unless it was below 65F so the night was quite chilly. The important buttons on the remote didn't work so the TV was unavailable. We have stayed here before and the room we had the mattress was quite comfortable. This mattress was terrible, slanted, kept rolling to one side. Its cute to stay in a old hotel and we've had better experiences than this time. The room just wasnt up to standards to the price paid. ……

“We stayed for two nights. My boyfriend’s key quit working so we had to walk the long way to the reception desk to fix it. Several hours later, mine quit working, so we had to make another trip back to the reception desk. It’s a long way and we are old.
The walls in the adjoining room are very thin. We could hear their conversation clearly.
The room was shabby. Dirt on the floorboards. TV screen not washed. Curtains not hung properly. The beds looked like someone had already slept in……

“One of the worst booking experiences I have ever had! I booked Winnipeg Holiday through Expedia and paid approximately $137, expecting proper accommodation.
When I arrived at the location, I was shocked to find no hotel sign or banner. When I called the property, I was told that they provided private housing and that I had to wait until 1 PM to enter.
What happened next was even worse. When I contacted them again, the person told me, "Don't come here. We will not let you in. Request your……

“This property was listed as a hotel in the “hotels only” section and it isn’t one. It is somebody’s home. If you’re into staying at a place like that then go ahead and book it. Just be aware that all the photos do not even match the property. The bedrooms don’t look like some of the photos and it is a shared bathroom should there be any other guests staying there.”

“The staff at the front desk and the pool were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was fantastic, and my kids really enjoyed the slides! Even though it was the long weekend, the pool wasn’t crowded, we only met two or three other groups of guests.
I did notice, however, that the beds in the room seemed a bit smaller or shorter than usual. The shower water pressure was a bit weak, and the toilet flush didn’t always work properly, which was a little surprising for such a new hotel.”
